It is a friendly town of the new and old that honours and celebrates Galician heritage, writers and poets. As a customer in shops, cafés, taverns and restaurants you fell welcome and respected. Taverna Galega - A Lareira, is close to the Albergue and has a special atmosphere, excellent service and fine, daily selection of Pinchos. Pasteleria Ben has mouth-watering pastries and excellent coffee. The Tourist Office is very helpful.
Coming from the Camino del Norte into a lovely 4-star hotel is quite an adjustment but one we managed with pleasure. The staff were all very professional but also very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh, and the insignia stamped on everything—including the monogrammed pillowcases—just added to the joy of our stay. The food in the bar and the dining room was delicious. The price per night was excellent, and the pilgrims discount in the restaurant much appreciated.
Room had a clean design and spacious. The small touches made it stand out - the yellow arm chair and the room freshener. Heater actually was working unlike most other hotels we stayed in. Michael moved our bags from Correos into our room, which was much appreciated. He gave excellent recommendations for dinner and breakfast. Room was well insulated and we didn’t hear any traffic.
The hotel is very centrally located and the historic tower is actually a part of the hotel and was very nice to see. It is located close to many restaurants but also has an excellent restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. They also have a pilgrim discount in the restaurant for those walking the camino.
clean and comfortable rooms with very nice facilities and a lovely breakfast. the staff were very kind and caring and the hotel is right on the route for the camino de santiago. the laundry service was very efficient and at a good price. the hotel is close to the high street and lots of nice places to eat.
In this expanded area for Camino hikers, this is a superb place to stay. The Camino is one block from the Camino, and on that block is a charming small church worth visiting.
In addition to offering very good accommodations, the hotel has an outstanding restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.
Very basic and pretty dated hotel. Nothing to majorly complain if not that during the Camino for the same price we stayed in stunning accommodations while this one is bare and spoiled of any extra. If it would have costed 15eur less i wouldn't complain.
Staff is very nice.
Very comfortable, clean, new rooms. Great location, supermarket right by the building, staff was very helpful and also English speaking.
Public parking slots available on the street by the hotel.
Would definitely recommend staying here
The hotel was ideally located for our business trip. The staff were kind and understanding despite our very late arrival. We appreciated the quiet location and spotless rooms. Great value - definitely would stay here again.
The hotel is in a great location and I did enjoy my stay there for two nights. It is right on the Camino and close to restaurants, groceries and the bus station. The bed was comfortable, it was clean and no traffic noise.
. Everything about this hotel was wonderful; the venue ( in/ next to a castle), the location, the room itself. Quiet at night, great a/c if needed. Very friendly front desk staff.
Excellent choice for lodging in Vilalba, close to the old quarter and the more modern commercial district. Nice restaurants nearby, or the hotel's own is also quite good.
