Host, Maria, was exceptional - she was attentive to our needs and had many wonderful suggestions for our adventure! I had the privilege of having coffee with her in the morning - she is a beautiful soul ❤️ Wish we could have spent more time there. I would definitely recommend Hotel Palacio to all!

The hotel was in a very remote location, it would take 40 mins to walk to a local shop. You definitely need a car unless you are looking for a relaxation holiday. The pool was lovely and clean, the restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our balcony was tiny just about fitted in two chairs and a table. Other balconies were of a nice size. I had a massage which was excellent and would highly recommend. We used the private spa for an hour which was average with fantastic views. Five days was far too long for us.

We stayed around the lake area,only a short 15 minute drive...
We stayed around the lake area,only a short 15 minute drive to vinuela itself.We also spent a couple of days travelling in to Tor de marre only a further 5 minutes down the well maintained roads.Our local village los ramanos was a perfect spanish village with a couple of "pubs" and a super market squeezed in next door to one.Vinuela itself though only a brief visit had eveything a city has including the market and carnival.

Just about 40 minutes from Malaga airport, very restful. Nothing to do other than relax! If you have a hire car then you can venture to the beach, supermarket or nearby villages, or explore the lake. But it was a great place to relax and unwind. The food was outstanding, rooms smallish, but comfortable. Lovely staff, beautiful plants inside and out making it a really relaxing environment.

It is not a major tourist destination, but very 'real',...
It is not a major tourist destination, but very 'real', beautiful, relaxing and natural setting, with just enough facilities available to meet one's needs for a holiday for the discerning traveller. There is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the area and several good restaurants and bars to enjoy too. It is an excellent area for hiking, and photography, and the lake can be accessed for small scale, casual kayaking or pedal-boats/sailing. A car is essential to access the area and for getting get around to explore the many nearby towns and villages, with beaches a mere 20 minutes drive away, and Malaga city only 20 minutes further, so visitors can 'have it all'.

We drove around the lake which was beautiful but we did not have a great deal of information from the hotel as to how to get to the lakeside. We could not get down to the lakeside from our hotel which was a shame. We ate in the restaurant at Hotel B Bou Vinuella. Great activities is the spa and the tranquillity of the place. Great for weddings as the location is spectaular but do not forget that hotel guests need their privacy also.RobertSpain

In the winter Spanish hotels can be quite cold, but this one has underfloor heating and radiators and was very warm and cozy. The gardens are beautiful with views to the lake. Nothing is too much for the staff. The spa is private and intimate and Jose the masseurse very healing. Breakfasts are super and the evening meal really delicious. Location is fabulous not far from Viñuela, Puente and Los Romanes which offer a variety of restaurants and shops. We will visit again.KarenSpain

Easy self check in with a lock box. Had a very relaxing weekend & all we could hear were the birds chirping. Great views down to Lake Viñuela & up to Comares too. Easy access to Los Romanes village.
