Fairytale hotel, wonderful to be holed up there in the winter with the snow falling all around. Food was great (amazing breakfast, gorgeous dinners), nice sauna, handy for skiing and other activities (ski bus takes you direct to the slopes in about 15 mins and is pretty regular.) Rooms spacious, well designed and clean, comfy beds and decent shower. It’s the staff though that really made the difference. A happy family of people who went out of their way to look after me, a warm welcome at reception and bending over backwards to look after me at dinner…as a solo traveller it means the world.

The Lapland Hotel Ylläskaltio provides functional accommodation with ski routes and sledding tracks starting right outside the door. A ski shuttle is available from the front of the hotel.

It was a clean, warm really cozy cabin with good facilities and everything needed. The sauna was a plus. Easy walk to the lake and center of town. The man on reception was really nice.Bedding and linen included in the price. Would recommend to anyone!

Big house with several rooms and few separated beds. Enough for 10 people. For 12 people it would be to crowded. Very well equipped kitchen. House was in good condition. A separate ski storage and wax cabin with wax iron available. A free sledge was available. Cross-country ski track is nearby, at a comfortable walking distance. Snow was cleared regularly from driveway and even backyard.
