The front desk female employee informed me that the hotel was fully occupied & she had no rooms available
I went to my car & made booking on line ten minnutes later I walk back into the hotel loby & showed the same employee my payed booking reservation she again told me that she has no room to give me , I have protested how can booking.com sell rooms in the property , when there are no rooms to sell after about ten minutes deliberations she instructed me to send her my booking confimatiom to the hotel property & provided me w. emailaddress I went back to my car & sent her the booking.com paid room reservation when I returnd to the hotel loby she told me aggain that she has no room for me at that point I didn't know how to deal w. my situation while remaining in the loby about five or less than ten minutes later other hotel employee aproched me & addressed me "Mr Vrabel come let me book you into your room" & so after about an hour I finnaly was provided my room This empolyee directed me to have breakfast in area of the hotel that had some food there in the morning but it appeared very scimpy so I took something , as I am eating it young man aproched my table & asked me If I was cominng for breakfast I replayd yes & so he informed me that the breakfast is served in diferent section of the hotel & what he showed me was respectable Scandinavian standard breakfast table OJ & still mineral water was missinng for my standard. for 190.00 Euros per night very overpriced logging good for corporate people who don't pay anything for it & don't care what it cost or what they get.
From this experiance it shows that this company can employ people that can refuse custumers bringing practicaly free money to they doors leasure traveler needs to stay home & just send money!

We were a group of 10 friends and have booked this property for a night’s stay during December month. Everything about the property was just perfect. On reaching there, we were welcomed be the owner and she provided us details about the property. The bedrooms were very spacious, comfortable, bedsheets and blankets were very neat and clean. Kitchen and living rooms were spacious too with all the necessary things. It also has a traditional Igloo Sauna outside the property and we have enjoyed it.
There wasn’t anything about the property to complain. We would definitely plan to stay here in future.

The facilities were certainly not arranged for Foreigners.
The facilities were certainly not arranged for Foreigners.
Arriving to the olace (late evening) there was not any real guiding information, - there are no room numbers (only room names in Finish language), and thus no logic way to find your room :-(
Finally, the code to open the room door did not work.

Hämeenlinna is a great old town to visit in Finland.
Hämeenlinna is a great old town to visit in Finland. The castle is great, and there are a lot of other smaller museums and places to see. The city has some good restaurants and great hiking trails nearby.

A lovely town with plenty to do.
A lovely town with plenty to do. Everything within walking distance. We went to the ice hockey which was great fun, a short bus ride took us to aulanko where we went for a sauna and swim in the frozen lake after walking through the beautiful forest. There are supermarkets with everything you could need and a shopping centre with lovely shops. We found a great karaoke bar (weds & thurs) just up from the square that looked like a gingerbread house- so much fun!

Lovely walking paths around the lake and the castle was very interesting. We had a fantastic evening meal at the Gingerbread House restaurant.
We had intended to travel from Tampere to Hameenlinna by boat and then train onto Helsinki; however this wasn't possible because the boats stop 1st September. Need to be aware of these dates.
Extraordinary place. Is has served as working camp during wartime, rehabilition facilyty later. Like combination of hospital and farmhouse. Property is really large located in Finnish coutryside, very peacefull and very comfotable beds you dont find even expensive hotels. I got even warm sauna in the evening. This exellent location if you are travelling long distancies north south direction.
I liked the location of the hotel. I loved the food especially. We had dinner and it was so good. The breakfast had a variety of choices and it was delicious to eat. I love the fact that they had a kids corner and the whole hotel and restaurant are kids- friendly. I loved the swimming pool and the sauna. I also loved the fact that the room was very spacious with four beds for a family of 3.
Nice surroundings and Aulanko naturepark nearby. A bit oldish hotel (the main building) i might say but the main building is from 1938, in that perspective it is in awesome shape. Dinner was ok, breakfast was great! The spa was bit crowded because of fathersday, but we did not calculated that when reserving room.
Near by the lake and linna, nice view. Breakfast was ok, But room just so so, not so clean.
Dinner also eaten inside hotel. The service just so so, they were not only missing our drinking but also ice cream coming with main dishes, so surprising.
Hotel has been renovated and is much better than last time I was here in 2017.
Central location in Hml., good breakfast, and room clean with all basic facilities needed.
Price under 100 € which is rare these days in this country.
This is renting an apartment rather than hotel. Excellent, fully furnished, comfortable home. Place is very nice and quiet, kitchen is well-equipped. Close to the railways but there is no extra noise in apartment.
Location was great, alongside the river, not far to walk to get to Hämeenlinna centre. Staff were great too, and parking was easy. Room was quite big, and the shower etc was modern, clean and spacious.
