Location was very good and the staff was friendly. There was a small fridge, kettle, coffee machine and some dishes available in the room. Also there was a small seating area which made the room feel more spacious.

It was a working travel with the purpose to meet cultural institutions and actors. We did not have time to explore Oulu as tourists, and it is really sad. But the cultural scene seems to be really rich and interesting. Visiting Valve cultural center was a discovery for us. It is a place, where cultural actors are concentrated. Dinner and a jazz concert by University students at Mallassauna restaurant was an amazing experience. And early breakfast in MAKIA Cafe - a very nice inclusive place, made the beginning of the day just wonderful.

I was only for one night, during my motorcycle trip. I was looking place to sleep and rest after 700km driving in the rain. And that apartment made my day with sauna inside. Regarding city I do not have any feeling to share.

I had a business trip there in the last week of May. The weather was good and it should be the warmest week in Oulu (around 15-20 'C). Oulu is a small city and most of the shops and restaurants are located in the city centre. One can drive (or take bus) to those parks, the scenes are extremely beautiful. The food is good especially the Salmon soup and Reindeer steak/tongue.
Also, for visiting the Santa Claus village, one can stay in Oulu and take train to Rovaniemi (~2.5 hours).

Given the time of year (November) the cold will stop many activities, until Christmas when the nearby Santa villages will be teaming with travelers and visitors.
So I would recommend a long weekend (4 to 6) to be the ideal length of stay at this time of the year.

Oulu is a lovely city and I am fortunate to have have traveled to many European countries in my life which I can compare it against. Oulu is easy to navigate on foot, even with children, no complaints from them as the beauty of all the nature kept them interested and excited. Oulu is rather clean, calm and yet you feel comfortable and strong even in a new environment. The library is a lovely place to visit too!

A beautiful city in the (very far) north, yet friendly and open and spotlessly clean. Excellent infrastructure, such as the bus services - easily usable by visitors - and the safe walking and cycle pathways separate to the motor cars
I enjoyed my stay at Kotimaailma Apartments Sairaalanrinne very much. The apartment was clean and tidy, perfect for a two-night stay. The beds were really comfortable, which was great since we were very tired after the train ride. The area is quiet; there are grocery stores around 8 minutes away, and a bus stop close by in case you want to go to the central part of Oulu. The best part of our stay was definitely the private sauna in the apartment. Would visit again.
Surrounded by peaceful, historic garden/yard, hotel room gave a quiet, extreme comfortable place for us to sooth in a hot summer day. Probably the most beautiful hotel window view in Oulu when there are river, green trees and lovely jogging path underneath. Fresh ingrediencies and tasty breakfast indeed! I specially want to give a big thank you to all staff members. Their happy smiles and warm hospitality made our stay more joyful!
we traveled with two little girls. Good place to stay on our way to Lapland. Only one night, actually only a few hours. We did not meet the host, but everything was ready for us when we got there. Kitchen ready with everything you need, hot shower. One double and two single beds. parking just in front of the door, easy for the luggage and getting our daughters that were already asleep.
We arrived in Oulu way too early and the staff is very accomodating. She let us stay even before 7am. Also, one great thing about this hotel is that they respond fast with my inquiries. They let us leave our baggage before our check-in time. Our room was clean and beds are comfortable. The breakfast offered is worth the price.
The location was perfect and so the view. Loved the 10th floor, new apartment and kitchen with some coffee. Clear instructions how to found the house and keys, many thanks for the earlier check in time 🥰 I’ll def come back as I travel often to Oulu.
Good location: The center is close to the city center; a 10-minute walk is enough. Further, the hotel is close to the bus stop (Hallituskatu P); no bus change from & to airport necessary. The bathroom was tidy and in a very good condition.
The rooms were comfortable and clean. The decor was very local and original. Including all of the lit candles. Very nice. And the breakfast buffet was outstanding with a big spread and many local delicacies. I will stay at Lapland again.
Been here few times and this time they really exceeded our expectations. We stayed one night on our trip to Lapland and our room was upgraded without additional cost. We really enjoyed our stay and breakfast was good quality as always.
Amazing location and cozy cottage fully equipped with everything. 5 min walk from the lighthouse. Free parking in front of the cottages for every guest and easy check-in/out. I highly recommend it if you're staying in Oulu area.
A lovely little boutique hotel in a historical building in Oulu, with a lobby and reception designed with welcoming decor. The tiny hotel room was immaculately clean. A nice breakfast included in the price.
Great city, great staff, good hotel.
I made an error about the date of reservation, booking..com said I cant change it. But when I called the hotel, they did change it and were very friendly.
