I have been here many times.
I have been here many times. The city is small, picturesque one may say. Not many things to do but efficient for those who live there. It is small, safe and welcoming, what else could one ask for.They are very loyal to local industries therefore food quality is unique for Finnish standards, if you know what I mean, they pay attention to beauty other difference from other "Finnish speaking" cities. The cookies, the bread well, just visit, it is not a long walk but you can take it several times a day and you will always find some little tiny thing that is nice.MittiläSpain - 10Scored 10
Summertime - perhaps the outdoors.
Summertime - perhaps the outdoors. Summer and winter: the very peculiar Finnish old wooden architecture and wood-built part of town. Plus a few very fine larger buildings - factories, schools etc - built in Jugend or Art Noveu-style. Around Christmas time a lot of decorations and lights with a local touch ( symbols of Faith, Hope and Charity are a speciality).

Actually it’s not a building of its own but an attached wing of the old city hotel (Stadshotel). Staff was helpful and the room quite spacious with a renovated bathroom but unfortunately the positive sides end pretty much there.
