Estaing is a fabulous historic village, with a fascinating château which is open to the public. A great opportunity to see what life was like in medieval times, for the privileged at least. The village is easy to walk around, bring an extra memory card for your camera, as there are photo opportunities at every corner

The staff were great with special mention to the young woman who waited on us at dinner (and also checked me in) - she was friendly and happy for 2 sets of diners to join together, her service was excellent and very professional. The room had all that I needed and was a good size and a lovely outlook onto the hills.
