The location was excellent, being tranquil, quiet and relaxing with beautiful surrounding woodland and garden. It is close to a large supermarket and most tourist attractions. Amboise is 29 mins drive away but feels like 10 mins wandering through the countryside. The hosts are very friendly and even offered us fresh eggs from their chickens twice in our 4 night stay, along with fresh home grown vegetables from their garden. We were greeted on arrival and shown through the Gite to familiarise ourselves with everything thoroughly. There was also a morning breakfast of eggs, spreads, bread biscuits, butter, condiments, tea, coffee and sweet biscuits. We were left to privacy though out the whole stay, but also welcomed to ask for any help we might have needed, so we really felt at home. Much better than staying in a B & B. We could come and go as we please without regulations and it was really nice to have the freedom. We thoroughly recommend this property, as there are walks, swimming in the lake or just relaxing on the Gite terrace enjoying the serenity. The property is very well equipped for everything you need.

I loved staying at Auberge du Bon Laboureur in Chenonceau with my family and can easily say it was the best part of our ten day trip across the country. The hotel staff was so kind and welcoming, we relaxed in their pool and jacuzzi after long days sightseeing, had a wonderful dinner at their excellent bistro, it felt like home away from home.

The chateau de Razay was so beautiful and our newly remodeled room was amazing! We had an exquisite dinner and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Mary/Marie was so helpful and sweet. We were pleased that we were able to get a room in the chateau because we had accidentally booked a tree house/cabin and were were so happy the owner was able to accommodate us! We highly recommend this chateau, we were treated like Royalty!
