The hotel receptionist was very friendly but the hotel definitely needs a renovation. Although we don't have any complains, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location, small city centre has a beautiful garden and a couple of cafés but the small bistro's were all closed during the day .. they only opened as from 7pm, we were just before the season beginning of April ... overall it was a stopover on our way to another destination and we could park our car at a closed parking space in the building.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with all modern conveniences. The location was brilliant with everything I needed right on the doorstep. The owner was great as I arrived late at night and they met me outside the apartment. Parking was conveniently over the road.

The city center is very nice.
The city center is very nice. I's organized with care and love. We didn't have time to visit the fortress but it looked very impressive from outside. The city park is very beautiful, nice and calm. A nice place for a walk.PavelSweden - 10Scored 10

Beautiful historic city. We were just passing through, but discovered a really picturesque town to which we would gladly return. Off season for us, so the castle only had restricted opening hours, but the walk around the outside was more than adequate. Plenty of free parking around town.

Lots of fantastic views and old stone buildings. A well signed posted walking route covers all the places of interest in an easy way. Still worth visiting in depths of winter. Fougeres is a medium sized historic town with an incredible...
Fougeres is a medium sized historic town with an incredible medaeval castle, lovely architecture and good restaurants and shops. The location is also accessible to interesting towns and villages that are well worth exploring. My husband and myself stayed for three nights to break our onward journey and thought this was about the right length of time to spend there. We would definitely recommend it.

Within walking distance to visit Chateau de Fougeres and the old town. Our room was adequate for our stay with a comfy queen size bed. Facilities included a kettle, coffee, tea, milk and water was also provided. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided. There is also a very good French restaurant called Galon ar Breizh next door to the hotel.
