The hotel is the old primary school of the village and it is nicely converted into a cosy hotel. You can easily walk from the train station to the hotel and the beach, bar and restaurants are 15 minutes away on foot. Decent breakfast, providing enough for the energy to walk into Hondaribbia that afternoon. Good coffee!JelleSweden

Breakfast was a case of "less is more" because unlike many hotels, it didn't have a huge array of mass produced breakfast foods, but a choice selection of well thought out options, many of which were produced in-house, including the yoghurt (delicious) and jams/marmalades. Staff were always very pleasant and friendly.

An ensuite with a full bath, a separate wc, which is welcome but fairly rare these days. It was all very comfortable. We only stayed one night and did not take breakfast so no idea what that was like. The Villa Catarie is very well located only a few minutes walk from the train station and local services.
