Illiers-Combray is a very small town where Marcel Proust used to spend some vacation as a child. So this is a place where "Proustiens" go specially to visit the home-museum that looks like during his childhood. The museum is really worth the trip. The rest of the village is very tiny. The Pré Catelan is a small park, very romantic.SSophieSwitzerland

The host who checked us in was friendly and amusing, and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was good - not fancy but very tasty and fresh.
