It's an old house in the country, with a garden. We had two rooms (with a separate entrance), one very spacious, and a huge bathroom. The rooms are very cozy, with beautiful old furniture. The breakfast is lovely - the owners bake their own bread and make their own jams, and there were several kinds of cheese and yogurts besides.

Great location in Lalinde, close to restaurants, bars and the well stocked supermarket for wines, beers and fantastic food! All on the flat too which is a bous as I am unable to walk up and down hills at the moment. Fantastic market on Thursday morning! Great restaurant opposite, Le P'tit Loup! Tremendous food and great atmosphere. The Foie Gras and Gambas and steak highly recommend! The French know how to cook a blue steak! Restaurant in the square was so so but an Italian a five minute walk away, the All'Olivo was very good! Lalinde is ideally situated to explore the Dordogne area. The apartment is ideal for two people, nice little patio area and parking outside. Great bonus was that WiFi has been installed although on Booking.com doesn't show it! Plenty of wardrobe space, reasonably well equipped kitchen.

This small hotel is located on a leafy green countryside property in the heart of Perigord. We stayed 5 days and picked it because of its close proximity to sightseeing destinations, its 4-star amenities, and its free parking, which is hard to find in the towns. Our end room on the main floor was delightful. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning was excellent at overcoming the unseasonably hot weather until it broke one night. Fortunately, the very capable hotel engineer was available to fix the problem immediately. Formidable! Dinner was available every night at the hotel restaurant and we ate there on two of our nights. The food was very good, especially the veloute soup courses, but perhaps a bit too traditional Perigourdine for our tastes. Breakfast was also good, with a choice of hot egg dishes to supplement the usual continental breakfast faire. The marinated prunes with cinnamon and cloves were particularly good on the yogurt. Aperitifs were available before or after dinner in the charming lounge. We did not have a chance to use the swimming pool but it was very popular with most of the guests. The ponies in the field next door were adorable!

Le Vieux Logis is located in Tremolat, next to the Dordogne River in south-western France. Set in a landscaped park, it has an outdoor swimming pool and a sun terrace.

Good breakfast, great dinner, all the compliments to the chef and your young head waiter also. Excellent. The location, your building, the service, the gardens, really great. Emilie and Sarah at the reception were very kind and we felt very welcome. Estelle was a very gracious host and her attention to detail and feeling for quality and cosines is visible in everything.

Château Les Merles located within walking distance of the Dordogne River and close to Bergerac airport. It offers 4-star rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi internet access.

What a beautiful spot, so calm and peaceful right on the river. Room was cosy and comfortable, food was excellent, and the service friendly in an understated way.
