The property is very basic but good value for money. The owners are going out of their way to make you feel comfortable, if it’s hopping over to help you buy a train ticket at the station, facilitating a very late breakfast for only you, nothing is too much to ask!

Quiet location.The park behind the hotel is nice. Parking was great. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to solve problems.
Due to the restaurant being closed, I was able to order a cold platter which excellent.

We liked everything about this hotel.
Built around the medieval mansion, this hotel is very cozy. The room was big and clean, with a convenient and comfortable bed. The lady at the reception spoke very good English and was extremely helpful.
There is a free parking onsite.

We were the only ones booking one of the 3 rooms upstairs, so it was very quiet and private.
The night before Maguelonne prepared the elements for a great breakfast in the morning, to be had whenever we wanted. Nice attention.
We could park the car (great for motorcyclists too) in the yard at the back of the house, behind closed gates.

A few miles outside of Lyon, Le Bergerie has the feel of a working farm/country home. Great location to get away from it all.
The room is spacious and clean, bathroom modern and renovated. The hotel is in front of the train station, but no train noise. Quiet and safe area, walking distance to the town center. 1h to Lyon by train.
