La Cigaline, hotel in Laure-Minervois

Located in Laure-Minervois, a town known for its wine making, La Cigaline offers an unlimited access to the outdoor swimming pool. There are also a terrace and a TV lounge.

Outstanding b&b run by a lovely family. We had the simplest room, reasonably priced (53€ for 2, breakfast included, in mid-March). Breakfast was very good and the optional home-cooked pasta dinner was also tasty. Parking in the gated yard. Nice common area for guests, with fresh fruit. Very quiet location. A lot of attention has been paid to decor. Only the wufe, Sylvie, speaks English so non-French communication is a bit awkward when she's not home. A problem with wifi coverage was addressed by immediately moving the router into our room. We loved the place and the people.

Lovely 16th century home that makes for an intimate just welcoming stay. The location allows easy walking access to the entire village. Parking was secure. Our room was very comfortable with a huge, updated bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious and served with panache. Frederick, the owner, was a huge help to us, whether allowing us to use his things for an impromptu picnic dinner or winery visit or dinner reservations. Would love to return.

Little village in the middle of the minervois wine route. Not many shops open and little to do in the village. But nice to walk around once or twice with the kids. Carcassonne and Trèves are nearby with plenty of restaurants and activities to offer. Stay near Laure-Minervois for the sightseeing and landscape around the village.

It was a very small place and we found opening times were very different to the UK. Not much was open on the Monday. The local butcher's shop also had a wide range of groceries, ready meals and fresh food - even fresh milk but only full fat. You had to go further afield to find restaurants and we didn't bother. You difinitely need a car to enjoy this part of the world.
