The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Of particular note, Robin, in the restaurant, and the young blond woman at reception, were charming, helpful and informative. The food was excellent. The village location was beautiful, just a bit isolated.

The owners were magnificent - gracious and helpful to all. In the dining room they created a very special spirit of conviviality amongst all the guests every evening. The location is spectacular for hiking - at the base of a trail to a working alp and from the alp trails branching in several directions to high lakes and great views of Ecrins National Park. The Torrent du Rif from high on L’Aiguillette du Lauzet flows through the Auberge property so you can sleep to the sound of a mountain stream. All rooms have Mountain Views - it is a spectacular location.
