It was clean, comfortable, nicely presented. Very nice room and large bathroom. Great breakfast with plenty of variety. Lovely garden with pool, although didn’t get to use it due to it being out of season. Will definitely stay again when in the area

Lovely gite close to the owners house in a beautiful part of France. Huge garden ( with a big swimming pool ) bordered by a river and a stream. The gite had everything you could need for a long, self contained, stay and Chris and Trace were wonderful hosts. Montbron is only a few minutes walk away and has a couple of supermarkets and a few bars. We particularly enjoyed canoeing (canoe centre is a few hundred yards away) along the Tardoise and also visits to nearby caves, a medieval festival in Rochefoucauld and the town of Angouleme as well as a very poignant visit to the abandoned village at Oradour-Sur-Glane. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
