We visited the historic Calvary replica in town.

We visited the historic Calvary replica in town. It was first built by the townspeople from the surrounding area under the leadership of Saint Louis Marie de Montfort. He evangelized that part of France in the late 18th Century and early 19th Century. Due to political enemies the Calvary was destroyed at least twice and finally rebuilt for all to enjoy. The view from the top is lovely. The small chapel at the foot of the mount commentorates Saint Louis Marie and other priests and townspeople who helped in this project. It is a beautiful spot to pray and meditate.
