Rochechouart if a very old town, but is full of life and has...
Rochechouart if a very old town, but is full of life and has good restuarants and good walks. Check out the twisted church Spire, fastinating to wonder how it was made (I do not know!!!). Check out the bakers, such wonderful cakes and pastries and do not get me started on the croissants! St Junien is not too far away, again a larger town full of history and old buildings and on the main road to Limoge is the most wonderful baker who makes the most divine macaroons - to die for!! Just on a bit further is Limoge with the wonderful porcelain. You do need a car to get around or a bike motor or otherwise. Limousin is a gorgeous part of France.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0
The chateau is pretty spectacular and the town is well kept.
The chateau is pretty spectacular and the town is well kept. It isn't easy to drive around because the road system is hard to understand and the GPS doesn't help. Visit the chateau to see the contemporary art, then drive to the Roman bathhouse remains at Chassenon which is remarkably well preserved.markFrance - 10Scored 10
Beautiful little village, with old chateau on the outskirts...
Beautiful little village, with old chateau on the outskirts overlooking the surrounding landscape, now a museum. Lots of lovely little shops, particularly bakeries. A place called the Iron Horse Stable in the middle of the village is a place for bikers to meet up. Very much an ex-pat area.

Most of the staff were very friendly and patient with our attempts at French. Very clean with lots of sanitiser provided.
