Tournus is the perfect place to stop midway through France. A beautiful small town and only a few minutes from the motorway. This is a great hotel with friendly staff, an excellent restaurant and a wine list to suit all budgets. I would have loved to try the one which cost €3200 a bottle. Maybe in another life :-)

Traditional hotel in an atmospheric old building right in the heart of Tournus behind the abbey. We had a spacious room which although old fashioned in style was with all mid cons and was warm and comfortable.

This hotel is really well situated near the centre of Tournus - very close to the Must-See abbey, and to the town centre, which is well worth exploring. Parking is not on site, but just as good as, being just opposite the hotel. A comfortable room and bed, and a decent breakfast, with a welcoming and helpful host.

What a great find! Such good value. Gîte Chanay, managed by Christoph who lives on the ground floor with his family, is amazing. Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your lovely home with us. There is so much space!
The location is perfect (nice and quiet, set in beautiful grounds) just a stone’s throw and short walk from the old town. Our family of four (children 21 and 17) had two huge bedrooms, big kitchen, lounge/TV room, bathroom and separate loo.
We just booked the one night in April as a stopover on our way to the Alps but wished we could have stayed longer. I would like to visit Tournus now in the summer. I bet it’s gorgeous.

Wonderful town with a magnificent abbey and cloisters.
Wonderful town with a magnificent abbey and cloisters. Pretty abbey square with cafes and bistro. Great shopping centre. Beautiful riverside. Would definitely recommend the Parisian restaurant on the riverside near the bridge. The hotel st philibert is an excellent hotel near the abbey.

First time we visited we thought it was wonderful so decided to stay again. This time we were a bit disappointed as it had an unkept look about it. Lovely to stroll by the river, then have an enjoyable meal and straight to bed after a long day travelling
Tournus is a lovely medieval town just off the motorway with several restaurants. It is an ideal stopping point between Calais and the south of France. The apartment is in a central location and full of character. Young children are well provided for with cots in each bedroom.
Pitch black at night! Parking on the street was easy as it was not a market day. We have a trailer with bikes, but we were not unduly concerned about their security. Parking is free overnight
Clean, very clean , basic but good taste, good breakfast, easy parking location, advantage of the restaurant next to it, wonderful garden in front of hotel, and view , at the restaurant as well. Sound prof room.
All of it at an affordable price
A stylish hotel in a central location.
The restaurant is exceptional and indeed we chose the hotel & restaurant to celebrate a special occasion (50th Wedding Anniversary).
The restaurant exceeded our expectations. It was a superb meal.
The hotel is very modern and clean. the location was perfect just off the highway for one night stop while driving from south France to Paris. there is a nice bakery near by and the gas stations cost much lower that the highway.
Under promise. Over deliver. We were on pass through to the south of France. Looking for a place to spend the night. With 5. 3 kids, two adults. This place is nice clean next to a river. With space, kitchen, bathroom.
I liked the whole experience. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Fanny cooked us a meal in the evening and we enjoyed having the time to spend more time in their lovely hotel. We will come back!
Why stay at Aux Terrasses? Hotel location not top, breakfast not top ... but rooms are very cosy, renovated, clean. And the restaurant is worth the trip. Truly exceptional. Wonderful stay, merci bien!
Bohemian chic—loved the space, eclectic decor, super location and charming host. equipped with everything. If you are looking for a boring hotel room, this isn’t for you. Dog friendly.
