Having a pool is nice if the weather's good.
Location is fine. Not too far from a big hyper market.
It's cheap and the checkout times are not super early.

Nothing to see. It is a cozy small town without any interesting place. The center has some bars which are open after 19:00 but are expensive and low quality. The unique place you may like is a big park clise to river.

We loved the proximity of the hotel to the old part of town.
We loved the proximity of the hotel to the old part of town. There was convenient parking which led 1) to Penny Kenny's Irish pub (v. friendly) which was across from a magnificent city park, complete with a grand gazebo; then 2) loads of beautiful shops; then 3) many sweet little narrow streets with cafés, atmosphere of genuine conviviality and terrace drinking. What a friendly town. All so close to the Novotel Valence Sud, where we stayed.

Valence is a lovely place to come and stay for a few days or a few weeks. The town has lots of great restaurants and the cafe scene is quite good. I did find the number of SDF people so homeless quite alarming. They were harmless but there were a lot. As soon as it gets dark, they don't seem to hang around. Valence is a great staging point for the Vercors mountains and as a stay over into the Ardeche. We come to Valence regularly and really like it. There are some great little artisan places particularly along the Rue Des Alpes just going out of town. Try the Vallon bakery and the Epicurieux coffee and beer place...just amazing.

If using Garmin gps, enter the hotel address manually rather than let Garmin choose the location Welcome was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was open and clean with N ex cellent menu. Parking is set ur. Rooms are air conditioned a d clean
Hotel in a good central location. The hotell is very dog friendly and there is a large park within a 5 minute walk from the hotel, perfect for dog walking. We had a room facing the main street and it was surprisingly quiet in the room with the windows closed. There are lots of restaurants and shops very close by. Parking is in an open area at the back of the hotel and it is secure. It is suitable for large cars and cars with roof boxes.
Good centrally-located location for exploring the city. Secure (off-site) parking at the underground car park at the railway station opposite, Hotel Victoria provide a car park exit ticket to use for free parking. The room was clean and quiet, and overlooked the station. We did not have breakfast, so cannot comment on it. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If we return to Valence we will certainly stay here again.
A very nice hotel in a good, convenient location. Staff was excellent and friendly. The hotel struck a good balance between a comfortable inn and a slightly corporate modern hotel. We prefer the former, but this hotel still suited us completely. Clean, modern, yet not bland or sterile. As a bonus, the hotel had a dedicated bicycle storage room for those traveling by bike (which we were).
The hotel was very close to the motorway with good secure parking for free. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean, beds comfortable. There were some eating places close by and one was quite a nice looking restaurant but unfortunately fully booked!
Lovely hotel, our room had a little balcony with view of the gardens and outdoor pool. Outstanding service and attention from the helpful English speaking staff. Wonderful food in the restaurant. Plenty of outside parking.
Very nice hotel not far from Gare Central and very close to the center of Valence. Secure bicycle storage in a locked hut. Very nice breakfast. Very helpful staff. Nice facility.
great hotel to make a stop on your way to the south. The staff was great and very helpful the all time. We arrived really late and the check in was fast. Everything was in order.
The restaurant was fantastic.
Being able to order and receive a 'real' expresso from the bar in the morning was a delight and something I miss in many hotels today. Thank you!
Spacious quiet room at back of hotel with especially large bathroom with modern facilities. Parking could have been a problem if we had not had handicapped space.
