Restaurants are often closed in the summer, particularly on a Sunday and Monday night. Don't be afraid to knock on the doors of the champagne houses to do a spot of tasting but be prepared to buy a least one bottle - it's only polite!

Vertus is a small town but nicely located to visit the Champagne area. A couple of bike routes are starting in Vertus. Highly recommended but not easy. Breakfast complete but not outstanding. Car parking is safe. Room was clean and comfortable. The airconditioning in the room is a plus.
