We had a warm welcome from Pierre and he had thoughtfully lit a stove fire which was wonderful as we'd had a long and wet day walking the western front way. The accommodation is fabulous. Very warm, spacious and very comfortable, with a lovely ensuite bedroom and the use of a large shared area to sit, make a cup of tea, eat at a farmhouse table, watch TV. We were lucky and had it all to ourselves. Breakfast was great, delicious homemade confiture, cheese, bread, yoghurt and coffee. All lovely and highly recommended to stay!

We have been travelling from Paris to Germany and we had 1 night stay at this absolutely perfect house with perfect hosts.
We liked the incredible cleanses and authentic deco. We have got 3 big clean and impressively designed rooms : one for parents, and 1 for each boy. Everything was nice : garden with a pond, fishing, hospitality of Valerie and her husband. Breakfast was nice. Valerie made crepes especially for our boy. We had such a nice time on breakfast in the gorgeous sunny dining room chatting with hostess, - we couldn’t stop the conversation to continue our car trip at time!)

Perfectly fine, nothing too flash! Lagarde is a very quiet and sleepy little village. I’d suggest taking some food (and drink) in case nothing is open (there’s not much there). the hotel owners were very friendly, and have a bar on site. Apparently they also do breakfast as well.

A quite little town with an interesting history and lovely architectural evidence of it. It has just been accepted on the list of these cities. Situated at nearly equal distance of Nancy and Metz, not far from Strasbourg, the Vosges, the Luxembourg... It would be difficult to ask formore.
