This was an old inn, comfortable and easy-going but not smart. Our room (first-floor double) was well lit and had a nice view of the curving high street, Good parking at the back, through an arch.
Lechlade is a small market town on the upper Thames, with an 18th-century bridge. The long-distance Thames footpath runs past. Only a few miles away (walking distance for the fit) there is a National Trust house, Buscot Park, and also Kelmscott, once the home of William Morris, also often open to the public. In Buscot church there are several stained-glass windows by his friend and artistic associate, Burne-Jones.
This picturesque, 16th-century hotel in the Cotswold village of Clanfield has cosy log fires, good food using local produce, and a garden with terrace for al fresco dining.

My partner and myself loved everything about it. Sean and Gemma were wonderful so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel.
The evening meal was superb and the breakfast was just as nice with plenty of choice.
Our room was luxurious, comfortable and clean. We honestly couldn't fault anything about our stay, we found a little gem and would definitely return, also recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting the Cotswolds to stay here. Bampton is a pretty place and an ideal touring base.
Thank you to the Fleur de lys and especially to Sean and Gemma for making our stay a special one.

We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore this region including The Cotswolds.
The room was spacious, warm and the bed was very comfortable. I slept very well. The shower is large with a lovely rainwater head as an option. The bathroom has under floor heating.
My husband enjoyed the coffee pod machine.
Overall I can't fault the accommodation at all.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful we got lots of great travel tips.
The food at the restaurant was delicious including the free breakfast we had.
Plenty of parking spaces and a nice outdoor area.
It was perfect for us.
A beautiful picturesque place. Beautiful countryside and near to Carterton which has a fabulous local pub called The Beehive, where we had some food which was lovely. Also had cocktails in the local bar called Grapes and Tomatoes. Outstanding service, drinks and fabulous night out!
We loved our stay at The Vines, the breakfast was second to none! By far the best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B. Fabulous friendly, welcoming staff and a lovely place to stay. I would definitely, without hesitation return when visiting the area again.

A lovely country retreat with peace and quiet yet handy for lots of surrounding attractions. Made to feel very welcome and treated like a guest in a family home. I would go there again if the chance comes up.
A very nice small hotel in a quiet and lovely village setting. Friendly staff, good food, we had dinner one night and the Italian good presented was truly excellent. Breakfast good too.
Nice bar and dining area, outside patio area too.
Room was small but big enough for two and comfortable.
All in all, a nice stay in a comfortable friendly hotel.
beautiful old building in a quiet village location. Our bedrooms were in the annex at the rear of the main building, lovely little rooms, one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The full English breakfast the following morning was fantastic, very good quality. Would definitely stay again, good value for money.
Hotel was lovely, room was clean and bed comfy.
Food was delicious, and the owners really were so friendly and helpful. They even adapted the menu slightly for my son without even having to ask them. Cannot rate the staff and owners highly enough
Hotel and room beautiful, breakfast could have been better, asked for tomatoes and mushrooms, told no mushrooms left! So plate came out with 1 tomato on it!!! No fresh fruit or yoghurts.
But staff couldn’t do enough, will definitely stay again
We really enjoyed our stay at The Vines Hotel. The staff are very accommodating and friendly.
Rooms are clean and comfortable and the food was lovely. I would definitely come here again.
We were grateful to find such a nice hotel open (during COVID) which enabled us to attend a family funeral. Very peaceful location but close to amenities in Witney.
