The breakfast was lovely but a bit too expensive for the smaller portions we ordered, and the chef/cook needs to be taught how to do scrambled eggs properly.

It's a nice place. Quiet location. A nice room, with lots of windows, tastefully furnished. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Comfy bed. Friendly staff.
Lovely pizza at lunchtime in the bar

The big size of the room and the wet room bathroom was good plus having an opening window and room thermostat control
The entrance / bar and lounge areas were attractive
Downside- room on the ground floor with car parking used by contractors right outside and within earshot of very noisy 5am services vehicles ( n 102)
A magnifying shaving/ make up mirror in the bathroom would be useful

A beautiful property, luxurious bedroom and bathroom (I think I was upgraded). Lovely, helpful staff, thanks also to those behind the scenes who made up my room. A quiet, spread out dining area with tasty food. Breakfast included. A romantic retreat if ever I saw one and tasteful Christmas decorations lending themselves to the general ambiance. I'd definately visit again if I was in the area :)

The hall and staff were exceptional.
The hall and staff were exceptional. Felt spoilt to be there in lovely surroundings with beautiful decor and so clean and well maintained. I can’t wait to stay again. Breakfast was also lovely, so well presented and then hot breakfast cooked to order. So impressed. Kirtstie reception manager was fantastic. Spoke to us at length as we loved the building. Printed history of it for us and gave us a tour of poinent historical areas. First class enthusiastic member of staff. Thank you.

Room x breakfast lovely. Room for my dads funeral good. Buffet food good quantity disgusting for the price not even 30 attended but still not enough people went with out , buffeys I’ve been before and paid lots less and always plenty even to bring some back home
Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. our room was bigger than we’d expected and was absolutely immaculately clean. All staff were so lovely- couldn’t do enough to help you. There’s a restaurant serving good quality food and the breakfast has something for everyone. We would recommend and definitely stay there again.
The breakfast was very good as was our meal in the restaurant the evening before. We had excellent service from the waiting staff despite there being a wedding party in the hotel . We were impressed with the vegan menu which our daughter who joined us for our eve meal required.
Beautiful hotel, great surroundings, peaceful and calm, rooms are spacious and clean, great value for money, we always try to book this hotel when going to Sheffield
