First impressions were not good with scaffolding to adjoining property, but once inside everything was superb. The room’s are not standard Premier Inn style they’re larger, very comfortable, en suite, and with style and character. The one drawback for a 3 story building was that it doesn’t have a lift, as I have COPD that could have been a problem, but receptionist re-arranged her plans changed my room to a first floor near the stairs. Buffet breakfast was excellent, good choice for evening meals, and an excellent bar. But the lasting memory of this hotel has got to be the staff, really first class and everyone of them so friendly. I would not rate this a 5 star hotel, I would give it 6 stars.

The location was perfect - very handy for the town centre and railway station - which suited a solo female traveller. The room also had a teapot which is a rareity these days 👍 My host was very welcoming and helpful. Allowed me to leave large luggage behind until PM on the day of departure which was so useful on a hot day .

Excellent location for PreTT and PreTt presentation.
Lovely clean room with comfortable bed and all of the facilities
Excellent breakfast with the best choice served hot and freshly cooked to order, great coffee too.
Takeaway breakfast for our leaving day, brilliant.
Pity they wouldn't accommodate us for Sunday lunch of 19 covers, we ate here on the other evenings and the food here is great.

Many thanks to Oana and the team for their hospitality. After hours of driving and my ferry arriving early morning, they were able to accommodate me a bit earlier than the regular check in time. This made a world of a difference. Clean room and attentive staff. Great English breakfast.

The countryside was lovely and the outside of the two barns but inside was a disappointment. The 3 bed deluxe was not large enough for a wheelchair user. The bathroom & toilet was down the corridor and the kitchen was shared and not kept clean.
Eathing out nearby was poor - only 1 pub with a very limited menu.

Just 'passing through' this time - we've stayed there (...
Just 'passing through' this time - we've stayed there (Ballasalla) with young family years ago with TT 'homestay' - in a small cottage with too few beds! (we were 'making do'). On that occasion we thought it exciting to be handy for the train into Douglas to 'commute' in - though we found it 'too slow' if there were 'other things' we wanted to do in town! Better going the 'other way' for visits to Castletown and Port Erin (end of the line!) Years ago we went to Castle Rushen and didn't think much of it...but thankfully, recently it is much improved and informative - a pleasure to visit (last year). Also last year we were delighted to be recommended (TV TTcoverage!) the TT teas in the local church hall and can confirm they were indeed FAB (though a bit over-subscribed - busy - helpers run off their feet - with many locals as well as TT fans!!!). Enjoyed going on to the cafe (Two-zero?) on the far side of the airport, though it was quiet this time (Sunday morning) but a pleasant ride round with lots of things to see - interesting scenery natural/man made.
Look forward to our visit next time!
Enjoy!

Ballasalla has a very nice Manx National Historical property...
Ballasalla has a very nice Manx National Historical property of Rushen Abbey in its centre. Unfortunately, the remains of the Abbey are very limited, but the exhibition area and the explanation panels help very much to visualize the past. Also the newly laid-out park is nice for a stroll or quite reading on a bench. Certainly worth a visit. Otherwise in the vicinity is the Silver Glen with a small lake, a nice play area for children and an ice-cream parlour. Also good to spend a sunny afternoon. Additionally, there is the famous Monks Bridge (the oldest in the Island) and the excellent Abbey Restaurant.

Ballasalla is mainly the airport, but is very close to Castletown the medieval capital. There is a restaurant near the shore but nothing else, very close to other interesting places and for exploring
It is good option for budgeting stay near Castletown. In my view some refurbishment is necessary, example around Hotel. Breakfast does not meet my expectation. But very good wifi and nice staff. Quiet if you don't care that airport is "next door". Standard is good enough but I am not sure that meet three stars (3) requirement. I can compare with similar hotels with three stars where comfort, facilities are much higher than Sefton. I would like to rated higher but I can't. Finally, it is just my, subjective opinion.
The Sefton Express turned out to be an excellent base from which to tour the island for our week long stay. Our standard en-suite room was clean and comfortable - the fact it was compact in size reflected by the price. The staff made us feel welcome and while we did not sample the cafeteria-style daytime/evening menu we found the continental breakfast good value. The hotel enjoys a peaceful, scenic setting despite being situated between the airport and a business park - we'd stay again!
The stay included everything we needed, but the aspect which stood out the most, was the exceptional lady who tried to accommodate us when our return flights back to the UK were cancelled with exceptionally short notice. She went above and beyond in her attempt to help us out of an awfully stressful situation, even going as far as to book local taxis to enable us to reach a local hotel near the ferry terminal. Not sure of this ladies name, but it was the evening of the 27th Aug
Tanya who runs the hotel on a daily basis was brilliant, very attentive and quick to help.
The position of the hotel is excellent for visitors who want to be in a central place to go explore the Isle.
Having parking facilities is a definite plus although access to public transport is only a two minutes walk away.
Excellent value for the price we paid.
Although it's an airport hotel it was very peaceful and we couldn't hear the planes at all.
Really lovely hotel. The staff are absolutely delightful, the room was very nice and extremely quiet and breakfast was lovely. The location is excellent, with really good transport links for getting across the whole island. We would definitely come back to this hotel if we visit the Isle of Man again.
Couldn’t fault this hotel for the price we paid. Louby on reception was extremeley helpful and friendly. Great location as well next to the airport, we got around the island by long walks (which was the purpose of our visit) and buses.
Handy for the airport and buses to Douglas and the South. Clean, quiet room and good choices on the breakfast buffet. Good value. Easy walk to Castletown or Ballasalla for pubs, restaurants and steam railway.
Breakfast was great value for money. Where we were was a little out of the way but that's my fault not the hotels. But the staff were amazing & friendly especially Tania. Thanks so much
Continental breakfast which was more than adequate and more healthy than the usual hot plate full breakfasts at a lot of other hotels
Good rates and male receptionist was great
