A beautiful period house decorated in keeping with its age and full of interest. Our room was well appointed, dinky but we expected that. It was lovely, clean and warm.
The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offering was excellent, a good choice of fruit, cereal, hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class. Located a 5 minute walk into the main town we found this perfect, close to restaurants, coffee shops etc but away from the hustle and bustle. A bus stop was just opposite the hotel if you didn’t want to use the car for exploring. The hotel had a handy car park for guest use and the pretty garden was a quiet haven for relaxing with a bar facility. There was also a communal guest lounge for guests to use.All in all the Bridge House was the perfect choice for us.

Great little rooms, in a location that suited us. We had everything we needed for a good price. We could arrive whenever in the evening, which was great as we had a long journey. Plenty of parking. Great communication. And two lovely friendly boxer dogs!

A step back in time!
A step back in time! Small historic town, traditional butcher, baker and greengrocer, independent shops. Very friendly helpful locals. I can recommend The New Inn for great evening meals at reasonable prices. Be prepared to travel some very narrow windy lanes in this area though!

We did not see anything of Beaminster.
We did not see anything of Beaminster. It was only a one night stop over. The town looked pretty and there are things to see and do in the neighborhood. Will visit again and would stay at the Ollerod again. Had an excellent dinner at the Ollerod.Maj-BrittUnited Kingdom

Minutes from Beaminster centre and a couple of pubs, restaurants and a co-op. Good size double bed in main bedroom was very comfortable. Bathroom was good size with an excellent shower. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook and there was an iron which came in handy. Very pretty garden out patio door from comfy lounge/diner. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Food (both dinner and breakfast) was excellent and varied. The facilities are simple enough but good. Very nice bar, restaurant and walled garden areas.
