Breakfast and evening meal were lovely.
They had a few ‘building’ problems, such as door lock not working, blinds broken, coffee machine not working quite correctly. Room was a little cold, but worked out ok for the second night.i

A beautiful period house decorated in keeping with its age and full of interest. Our room was well appointed, dinky but we expected that. It was lovely, clean and warm.
The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offering was excellent, a good choice of fruit, cereal, hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class. Located a 5 minute walk into the main town we found this perfect, close to restaurants, coffee shops etc but away from the hustle and bustle. A bus stop was just opposite the hotel if you didn’t want to use the car for exploring. The hotel had a handy car park for guest use and the pretty garden was a quiet haven for relaxing with a bar facility. There was also a communal guest lounge for guests to use.All in all the Bridge House was the perfect choice for us.
Set in Crewkerne, 33 km from Dorchester, Old Stagecoach stables rooms only offers free WiFi.

Great little rooms, in a location that suited us. We had everything we needed for a good price. We could arrive whenever in the evening, which was great as we had a long journey. Plenty of parking. Great communication. And two lovely friendly boxer dogs!
A step back in time! Small historic town, traditional butcher, baker and greengrocer, independent shops. Very friendly helpful locals. I can recommend The New Inn for great evening meals at reasonable prices. Be prepared to travel some very narrow windy lanes in this area though!

We did not see anything of Beaminster.
We did not see anything of Beaminster. It was only a one night stop over.
The town looked pretty and there are things to see and do in the neighborhood. Will visit again and would stay at the Ollerod again. Had an excellent dinner at the Ollerod.
Exceptionally clean and well equipped little cottage/annex. A really comfortable stay and Michael and Laurence were super welcoming. Minutes from Beaminster centre and a couple of pubs, restaurants and a co-op.
Good size double bed in main bedroom was very comfortable. Bathroom was good size with an excellent shower. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook and there was an iron which came in handy. Very pretty garden out patio door from comfy lounge/diner. We sat outside with a glass of wine and made the most of the sunshine!
The Ollerod lives up to all the positive reviews we read here. Our room was beautiful, large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Food (both dinner and breakfast) was excellent and varied. The facilities are simple enough but good. Very nice bar, restaurant and walled garden areas. The hotel's location is quite off the beaten track but Beaminster is a great starting-point from which to explore all areas of Dorset, as well as being an attractive place in itself with many local walks and attractions.
Beaminster is a pleasant enough town, surrounded by attractive countryside. It is within easy reach of the sea and the Jurassic coast. The property is not far from the centre of town. The cottage is on a single level, well designed to offer all facilities within a simple rectangular footprint. Access to a well-maintained garden is permitted. The owners are friendly and their house is adjacent to the cottage.
The property was very easy to find and for our purposes was well situated for Montacute, Beaminster, Bridport and the coast.
The bed was very comfortable - the house seems so warm we would have been quite happy with a lighter duvet! Everything was as you'd wish for, along with some thoughtful touches. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
What a cute and amazing cottage 🥰 We were in beautiful Beaminster for just a short time and absoultely loved our stay at Chapel View x a perfect cottage, so thoughtfully decorated and with many little added detail added xxx Luxurious comfortable beds, and beautiful warm and sunny garden area. We will definitely return x
Lovely old house in lovely setting, good heated pool, animals to see, walk intp Beaminster. Host gave us guided tour of the estate which was interesting. Quirky decorations and furnishing, aga for cooking. Comfy beds. Handy for Lyme, Seaton, fossil hunting etc.
We enjoyed our stay in the thatched cottage in a typical Dorset village and would love to stay again. Lovely host, friendly locals and a very peaceful setting. Good pub nearby which had a restaurant with reasonably priced menu.
Great place, Beaminster is idyllic. Cosy little cottage that the kids absolutely loved. Even a few games and puzzles to entertain us. Close to Jurassic coast for fossil hunting and nice national trust half an hour north.
A lovely and well equipped cottage in a great location to explore Beaminster and the area. The owners have thought of everything. Thank you for the welcome gifts much appreciated. would love to return.
