As we visited in December, it was quiet allowing us to meander and enjoy the area without the crowds. The people we met were all pleasant and friendly and made our visit enjoyable. I can only imagine, what it must be like for traffic etc in peak season, which I personally would avoid due to the limited access and parking. Places we ate were The Wellington, the Cobweb and the Riverside. Of the three we enjoyed the Riverside for quality and value mostly, but we would recommend all for various reasons. We joined in with the community when they lit the lobsterpot Christmas tree, along with local school children singing and Boscastle Morris team dancing and then back into the pub to warm up.

    I stayed for 2 days.

I stayed for 2 days. You could stay 1 day longer, but that would be about it. In theory, you could be able to cover most of the main sites around the town within a day or a day and a half. The witchcraft museum is definitely worth a visit. I was really surprised and learnt a lot. An odd place for such a museum, but then again, it's as good a place as any. Make sure you book one of the restaurants. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night, almost no place, including The Riverside where I was staying was accepting walk-ins.

A good location for exploring that part of Cornwall. A good selection of hotels and restaurants, we tried all of them during our stay and they were all friendly and welcoming. The car park is close to all the facilities and is charged until 1600 Monday to Sunday.

Pretty place to visit, very interesting.

Pretty place to visit, very interesting. Lovely walks to be had too. Take a purse full of 20pence pieces as a lot of the harbours residents have had to take on the the upkeep of the toilet facilities, therefore unfortunately having to charge for usage. Lovely restaurants but ideally need to pre-book as they get very busy! We didn’t go during school holidays and was still booked up. Some really cute shops to buy gifts.

Bocastle is a charming seaside town, its a place that we return to fairly often. great walks investing shops and a quirky intresting witches museum and if you need a leather belt visit the leather shop owned by a great craftsman who has been in the same shop for about 40 years.

Wwe visited during COVID with restrictions still in place and the hotel worked well with the restrictions. They squeezed us in for an extra 2 evening meals as where we had booked had been closed due to being pinged for COVID. Good location in Boscastle with its own carpark which can get busy - we always got a spot though. Breakfast is good, pre-booked. We have stayed before but this time got a bigger room which was good. There is a bar.

A very rural location for anyone coming from a city environment. The roads get narrow for the larger cars. Short drive to the main areas like Boscastle and Port Isaac. Washing machine and dishwasher really handy. Even has ' his and hers ' electric blankets for the cold nights, which is very old-school cosy. Overall it's a fab place to rent and stay. Perfect when you want to get away from the city rush.

Perfect location for us, loved the stroll to the harbour. A few short miles to Tintagel. Hosts were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, the best scrambled eggs! Louise and Richard suggested some places to eat. The Cobweb Inn was just up the road, amazing food. Also suggested was the Camelot Hotel, Tintagel. We enjoyed a cuppa overlooking spectacular views of the ocean.

Everything was perfect, the rooms are amazing, breakfast was outstanding the owners couldn't do enough for us very knowledgeable. Boscastle is beautiful and staying in such a beautiful hotel made it even more spectacular, definitely returning. The rooms had so much from a fridge to bathrooms and slippers. The toiletries were divine and the chocolate treats well again amazing.

The cottage had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. The very nice touches made it all the more special — scones and clotted cream, milk in the fridge, and a note explaining everything. I also liked the website and blog offering tons of suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. Would stay there again!

Excellent accommodation, meals (including vegan options) and service (from cheerful & friendly staff). Hotel has easily accessible location, slightly away from the main through traffic, but a very easy walk to all the visitor attractions of Boscastle. Even as teetotalers we liked the country pub feel to the Wellington.

The cottage was very spacious and very clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. Despite being next to the road there was hardly any traffic which made it a very peaceful weekend. Boscastle is a couple of minutes down the narrow lane and surrounding villages are not that far away.

The location in the village was prefect for us, away for the main harbour, but close the to a local shop and a 10 minute, if steep, walk down to the harbour. Cosy feel to the cottage and very comfortable bed. Great to have the welcome pack on arrival of local goods and a coffee machine.

Good location for my work at a local business. The decor of the Sloe cottage was excellent and I likes the hanging tapestries and ornaments. The views from the property are great, and I liked the small garden seating area available for residents which had good views.
