The location , staff and spa were great. The food was good , the room and bed was perhaps not as nice as a good premier inn but overall I would recommend and definitely stay there again

We find a luxury apartment, very spacious, clean like new, done in very good taste and decorated with original artworks. Well heated when it snowed over night, generous breakfast supplies, five star shower. The landlords take pride in adding lovely little touches, like books or plants, to make The Farthings really nice and pleasant. Well done and thank you!

Perfect location for us to walk SW coastal path. Easy check in which was a relief as later than predicted. Very much appreciated the small bottle of milk left in fridge for my morning tea and cold bottle of water. There is a lovely selection of teas and some porridge which we didn’t make use of but thought a lovely touch. Would definitely go back.

What a great find. Full of character, very close to the centre of Braunton and just off The Tarka Trail and Coast Path. Secluded garden area and very well appointed. The host Wendy was so so helpful and even booked me into a local restaurant at late notice on a Saturday evening. Lovely overnight stay whilst walking the coast path and will definitely return

This was my second visit to the Yeo Dale and I'm sure I will be back! Great hosts, place, location, facilities, comfy bed, excellent breakfast, very good wifi, accessible parking. Perfect :)
Nice middle England type village. Very pleasant with generally friendly people. Dogs welcome almost everywhere!
Great Fish n Chip shop & restaurant (Squires) and several bars and pubs - the George is large & welcoming with a good choice of food.
There's a small Co-op supermarket and various butchers and bakeries. Only one coffee shop, which isn't enough for the number of visitors!
There's a gift shop, one or two cloths shops and a charity shop along with a large ironmongers/garden centre absolutely full of useful items such as camping and BBQ stuff.
The main roads in and out get very busy. There's a reasonably priced car park and medical centre, along with a useful tourist info centre.
Probably the best thing about Braunton is it's very close to the wonderful quaint village of Croyde and the surfer's paradise beach at Croyde Bay!

The SSH is nearer to Croyde and about three miles from Braunton itself which is inland, but the town itself is very pleasant (twinned with Plouescat in Brittany in France) and has some nice shops and two good restaurants. The 21C bus runs once an hour from Barnstaple to Saunton, Croyde and Georgeham via Braunton.

I went there to visit family not for a holiday. It would not be a holiday choice for me insufficient cultural stimulation. It feels like gods waiting room.It has good beaches and attracts surfers. The beach facilities are fairly basic despite being overlooked by a expensive hotel.

V. Good for the overnight stop or for a weekend/long weekend for a couple staying mostly in hotel and nearby beaches. Good for family beach holiday. Not the place if you want nightlife and sophistication.

It is a good centre for further exploration.
It is a good centre for further exploration. Busy main road and cross roads. Good food outlets for all tastes. Good shops if you want to surf or take part in other seaside activities. Parking Ok, but busy in main season.
The hotel occupies a stunning position directly above the huge Saunton Sands beach. Day trips to Croyde, Bude, Clovelly and many other attractive nearby towns are possible. For surfers, boards and wet suits can be hired and surfing lessons are available nearby. The hotel has a spa and gym. It is worth booking a room with a sea view - the alternative is to look out over the hotel's service area.
Wonderfully clean and equipped house for the family to get together (dogs included). Rooms are all lovely in decor and comfortable. Rooftops is in a great location, views to Appledore and walking distance to the shops. We mainly drove to Braunton Burrows & Saunton Sands for the dog walks as the beach is dog friendly all year round. Great location for sightseeing south or north of Braunton.
Thistledene is in a perfect location, a short walk from the high street with shops, bars and restaurants, and Braunton is driving distance to lots of other beautiful places. The hosts are lovely people and very welcoming. The place was spotless with good facilities - the mini fridge with washing up facilities were very useful. The room got very warm but they provided a fan.
The lodge was absolutely perfect for a base whilst in North Devon. Spacious shower room and bedroom. Perfect little kitchen area and we just loved it! peasce and quiet yet just a stroll away from Braunton centre. Great for a couple or single person wanting to explore. Thanks to Julie and Pete for a lovely stay.
Absolutely 11/10 stay, evening meal, accommodation and breakfast, value for money totally and lovely owner, Devon is just wonderful and Braunton puts you right in a place where you can visit many other beautiful places with just a short drive. Totally recommend The George :o)
We loved the space we had in the apartment , the ease of checking in and the great location . Easy walk into Braunton with lots of choice of eateries and shops and a little drive to Saunton for a surf. The apartment had all amenities needed . Will definitely use again .
the spectacular location looking southerly over one of the best sandy beaches in north Devon, the comfort of the bedrooms, the quality of the food and service, the availability of car parking and the friendly efficiency of the staff.
The owner (when we met him - assuming that he was the owner) was helpful and friendly. The décor in the hotel part of the pub was very good, and our room and bathroom were well decorated and equipped. Breakfast was very good.
An exceptionally well furnished and well equipped property with everything we needed for a two day stay. Off road parking and easy access for walking to the shops / bars in Braunton or driving to the surrounding area
Comfortable hotel in spectacular position overlooking one of North Devon's best beaches. High standard of food and
accommodation, lovely views, spacious restaurant and bar area and helpful staff.
Stunning hotel right next to the beach. Very nice restaurant with lots of options. Spa and pool clean and well equipped. Hope to be able to stay here again soon
What a gem of a property, a real home from home. Clean, comfortable and quiet, so much nicer than staying in a hotel. Great location and very welcoming hosts.
All excellent.A mini country house hotel hidden in a town.the presentation of continental breakfast was delightful.Chris and Victoria were delightful hosts.
This is a lovely basic property in a gorgeous country estate. Quiet country location actually less than a mile from Braunton. Beautiful walled garden below.
