Very personable and welcoming staff. Genuinely concerned for my comfort and pleasure. Food and service were excellent. Room was large and clean.

After a bit of meandering (on foot) to find the place, I was pleasantly surprised. It is an old building (Tudor?) but the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the cotton linens soft, there were even robe and slippers in the room. The breakfast was good, the lady who greeted me and served breakfast was friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a great one night stay.

Booking in was very easy, Young man was very helpful, Room was better than I was hoping for, being disabled I was unsure about how easy it would be for me to get round the hotel and bedroom, It could not have been easier, Bed was very comfortable. Gorgeous location in a quiet Suffolk Village. The building was beautiful and ideally decorated. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good (we were meeting friends elsewhere). Bar was well stocked and staff very helpful. We upgraded and had a beautiful and large room. Bathroom was a little less decadent than the rest of the hotel but clean enough. We used our own toiletries but good to see environmental impact was thought about. TV was odd and difficult to use - usual channels didn't seem available and if we tried Netflix or any of the other apps, none of them worked, so we turned it off and just had music playing on our phones. Comfy bed, and tea/coffee available, so all good. We loved it.
*worth mentioning that had we paid full price I would have felt it a little expensive, but I had a Booking.com credit and so actually it felt like a bargain.

This was a last minute booking, so delighted to stay here. Lovely, clean, pretty rebuilt historic cottage with wonderful grounds and well kept garden. Hosts were so friendly and helpful, with great tips about the local area. Would be a wonderful place to stay for cycling as they have bike storage and countryside is perfect for it.
