That's a wonderful thing because it means that the hotel is connected to the place in which it is situated and Iona is a very special place. The Staff are sound, the food was great and the location is wonderful. The three of us travelled by bicycle from Oban. We will be back for sure. Go raibh maith agaibh go léir.

The hosts were very friendly and gave a warm welcome. I was so excited as I've always wanted to stay in a pod. It was roomy, everything was so organised! I loved the peace and quiet. The pods were really set out thoughtfully, with shelves and lots of plug sockets. I enjoyed building a fire and cooking on it. Though I did ask a fellow glamper about what to cook on. She kindly informed me that I needed to ask for the grill shelf. I really enjoyed cooking on open fire. ! I thought the pods were positioned thoughtfully too, giving everyone privacy.
My favourite was just sitting, watching the sheep on the hill, watching and listening to the birds. I didn't want to leave.
The walk to the beach was great, but I didn't feel up to the big Dun I. The scenery is marvellous.
All in all, Beautiful location, great site. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Luxury indeed! Richard works hard to offer comfortable, spacious, friendly and immaculately clean accommodation. Coffee and teas are continually replenished in the room, with a wide range of perfectly cooked breakfast items as well as the excellent buffet options. The conservatory has lots of books on Iona to browse when it's raining - or when Richard offers a glass of wine in the evening! We were sorry to leave after 3 nights.
Normanns Ruh is situated in Ballygown. The property features mountain and lake views. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

The property was very well presented, easily meeting the standard shown in the official photos. It would be hard to find a better location, remote enough to feel special but with facilities available for supplies (with a little planning). The views of the landscape and wildlife were really excellent.
