The family room was a great size and the bathroom was amazing. Only problem we had was a broken bed which they fixed within the hour. The mattresses for the single beds were very thin and springy. But lovely hotel and great location.

The staff at the hotel were so caring when I was taken ill and made sure my two friends had a lovely time while I was in hospital. The trip had been a gift to one of our friends for her 70th birthday. The food was delicious and rooms lovely and clean.

Stunning location, picture perfect. Super breakfast (even a sausage for the dog)
Rooms were nice, bathrooms a little dated and only had a shower (would be nice to have a bath after a long walk)
Warm welcome

Clapham is a quiet village but does get a lot of day trippers visiting the Ingleborough estate and caves.
The Old Sawmill cafe is excellent (fab coffee) but the village could probably do with more daytime cafes.
Settle is not far away and this has an excellent assortmant of shops and cafes.

Clapham is a really nice village in the Yorkshire dales.
Clapham is a really nice village in the Yorkshire dales. It is an Ideal base for country walks and mountain walks. You can easily access the remote areas of the dales where you would not see another person all day long. I might regret having said that

Lovely place in the middle of the countryside about 20 miles due East(ish) of Lancaster. Small, quite sleepy village about 1 mile from the station which provides connections to Lancaster and Leeds (and more places I'm sure!). Safe and friendly with nice river flowing through it.

Clapham is a beautiful village. We went beginning of July.
Clapham is a beautiful village. We went beginning of July. It was so quiet. I suspect in high tourist season it can be busy but during our stay Covid restrictions were still in place so no oversees visitors. Clapham has no nightlife so if that's what you want this us not the place to stay. If you want an evening stroll in a pretty little village this is beautiful place.
Clapham is the entry point to the Farrer trail that takes you to Ingleborough cave and beyond - beautiful!
Exceeded our expectations!!
First, a nice welcome from the staff when we arrived. We were intially told that the dining room was fully booked for the evening meal but he managed to accommodate us all the same. Good menu for evening meal and everything we had (we stayed three nights), was perfectly cooked. Great choice of breakfast served with a smile. The location was perfect for exploring the Yorkshire dales, espcially Ingleborough - the hotel is just a few hundred metres from the entrance to the Ingleborough Trail.
Lovely clean, warm and spacious rooms. Comfy beds with big bathroom with shower and a bathtub. The food in the bar/restaurant is beautiful and home cooked. A nice pint too. Dogs are welcome in the hotel aswel as in the bar area.
Lovely old house with pretty rooms and elegant lounge. Clapham village was an unexpected joy with a riverside walk and a beautiful country park within walking distance.
Very good pub in the Yorkshire Dales. Clapham is an excellent place to stay if you want to get out into the countryside. Food good and staff were very welcoming.
Cosy cottage with everything we needed. Perfect location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Hosts very welcoming and left us a lovely welcome pack of goodies.
