Good for a one night stop over. Was lucky to stay on the first Sunday of the month when local musicians came in and played great traditional Scottish music . Breakfast was good.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out and very homely and the host very welcoming and friendly when we saw her. We had a fantastic weekend, especially with the hottub to dip into and let life just melt away for a while, especially at night looking up at the stars. In the day we had a lovely veiw for the sheep and cows. Highly recommend and we will be back again soon xx

I stayed there only for one night in order to be close to my visit to Glen Grant distillery and the whisky trail in the area. But the place was lovely and I could spend a couple of days more there, visiting lovely villages, beaches and castles nearby.

Although great view of the ocean you really couldnt access the beach. Not the best due to being a stoney beach no good for children or dogs as you couldn't get down to the waters edge. Far better beach at Lossiemouth and Hopeman

A very good base for exploring Speyside or the coast or going on the Whisky Trail. Interesting selection of small shops - Tourist and quality Scottish souvenirs - Antique shops - Fabric and haberdashery (which is now difficult to find in the city) - Cafe / ice-cream parlour - local history museum - interesting walks.

Nice wee town, quiet and sleepy now that it's bypassed, But it has a superb ice cream parlour. Worthy of a wee wander around and there are many nice walks from the centre, including along the Speyside Way.
Our second stay at Orton Estate Fochabers and loved it! Great cottage for a family with teenage kids who are looking for something different other than staying in a family room in a hotel. Clean, comfortable and a beautiful location. We used it as a base for visiting family in Elgin but there’s loads to do in the area. Definitely recommend and would love to come back in the winter time to use the log burner.
Welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. The fact that they don’t do evening meals is immaterial as there are takeaways/delivery services or you can eat at their sister hotel down the road. The girls will supply you with plates, knives, forks, serviettes etc. you can sit in the bar area and eat or take it to your room. I always have a really comfortable stay here.
Nice rooms in a separate area upstairs at back of the 'pub' - well equipped and furnished. Good shower.
Excellent breakfast.
Fochabers an interesting place and good location for the Moray coast and NW Aberdeenshire
Everything about The Red Lion Tavern exceeded my expectations. This hotel would show most luxury hotels how to “ do it right”, from polite, friendly staff to a lovely room, all at a very reasonable price.
When we checked in Jake was very good, he explained how the hotel operated, including breakfast and also showed us to our room. Next morning Jake was breakfast and again was welcoming and efficient.
Comfy, homely, clean and beautiful gardens / grounds. Cafe great too. Near to Fochabers. Group of friends held a murder mystery game in dining room. We had a great time. Planning our return.
We only had breakfast at the hotel, however, all the food we saw going out, especially Sunday lunch, looked amazing. Bar prices were very reasonable and friendly staff gave a relaxed vibe.
What a gem! Superb accommodation, well appointed and equipped, quiet location, very comfortable. Loved it! Treat yourself and make a booking, Fochabers is a lovely village.
Great traditional Scottish Hotel with a nice bar, great food (dinner and breakfast) and really lovely staff that couldn’t do enough to make it a great experience.
