I couldn’t fault the staff at this venue. I was staying by for work and arrived late after work. They managed to get me a table, without hesitation, for some food even though it was the Saturday before Christmas. They were super attentive, the food was insane and I couldn’t fault the service. They even made me the most perfect breakfast bag to take away.

Food was decent, breakfast was good although staff member on personal phone in middle of serving area multiple times which appeared unprofessional.

The location is good to get away from towns/cities. It suited us, as close to family we were visiting. It was very relaxing in the hotel. The only slight issue was the danger of the road crossing from car park, as traffic is deceivingly fast there.

We stayed 1 night for Hogmanay. The hotel staff were great. Very attentive and saw we had everything we needed. The food was really good for a small hotel and given the number of people at the Hogmanay dinner, quality excellent. Quick, efficient service with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and good quality. Portions at meals were generous and options suited us perfectly. My only wish was that the decor in the bedrooms could be brighter. Fresher. The cleanliness was excellent/faultless. Great location. Extremely comfortable, immaculately clean. Generous complementary tray, delicious biscuits, chocolate and fruit. Enormous breakfast. Cannot fault it. Heather and Ric very welcoming and Eliza charming. Will return as there are many quiet cycling roads to explore.

My wife and I were in the main building and the room was clean and comfortable and large. Her Mother was in the modern annexe and the corridor to this was cold but the room OK. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and fast service even on Sunday when the hotel was more full. We ate in the restaurant once and the food was very good. Spotlessly clean with a huge bath and massive bed. The staff here are lovely. We had a meal and drink in the restaurant which was so tasty and not overly expensive.
