Disappointed with breakfast no cerelal, fruit, yogurt, it took 35 mins for my scrambled egg to arrive i had to ask thought they had forgotton it i felt it was huge burden on staff to provide breakfast ,
It would be better to have breakfast as optional!!!!!

We come to visit relatives but we always find the shopping...
We come to visit relatives but we always find the shopping excellent, and the train connection from Harpenden to London is easy and fast. The apartment we stayed in is fairly close to the train station. There are plenty of choices for groceries. It is a small town but very walkable with some nice parks. A bus or the train will get you to St. Alban's and the Cathedral, museums and parks there.

Harpenden is a town that would appeal to a variety of people...
Harpenden is a town that would appeal to a variety of people as it is diverse. Even though it is lively and busy in the evenings, it feels safe. There is an excellent choice of restaurants and a variety of outdoor spaces as well as shops. Zaza's Italian restaurant is central and a superb place to eat with a lovely atmosphere; also, The Old Cock Inn provides excellent service, food and accommodation for everyone, including families.

I've been going to Harpenden for many years as i have family...
I've been going to Harpenden for many years as i have family that live there. It's one of the nicest towns I've been to. Free Parking is limited but there is paid parking just a short walk from the High Street. There is an abundance of restaurants and pubs to fit all budgets. There is shopping to be done in Harpenden but if you don't find what you want, St. Albans is a short 10-15 minute drive where you will find "the maltings" - It's an outdoor shopping centre but there are plenty of shops to find what you need.AlecCanada - 10Scored 10

Harpenden is a beautiful little upscale town with loads of pubs shopping walking beautiful greenery just a beautiful little town. I would highly recommend that town to anybody that is interested in a nice location. Train station is right in the heart of the town with everything you need there. Very nice

The location is very central to all that Harpenden has to offer. There is a good selection of ales behind the bar and the owner/manager is very friendly - he met me after closing (around12:00am) and we had a chat over a pint while he finished up closing for the night.
