Nothing was extremly dissapointed
Arrival a cat i have allergy to cats so i was ill for two days ..which wasnt mentioned in the information of an animal left in the property ..no information on arrival regarding bedroom as a lot of things stored in each room..so very cluttered and untidy. And a smart neighbour decided block us in as we parked two minutes on a concrete ramp near to garages while unloading baggage..no notice of privacy atall to stipulate no parking!!! Which is offence to do this block somebody in..
Would not reccomend this place!!!!!!

The breakfast was amazing, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever eaten and proper loose leaf tea to wash it down. The room was lovely and very clean. The bed was very spacious but the mattress was a little firm for me, which is down to personal preference. I would definitely stay there again.

A great example of a northern mill town but not the main reason for visiting this picturesque Yorkshire town.
Famed for the BBC show "Last of the Summer Wine", it's a mecca for anyone who's funny bone has been tickled by this warm comedy from the 70's through to the early part of the 2000's.
Modern hostelries abound, some great exhibitions, cafes and pubs used extensively in the TV series all combined with the beauty of the Yorkshire landscape featured throughout the escapades of the characters of the show.
We'll be back in the summer to further explore the scenic beauty and further enjoy the views these three old men brought to life on our TV screens.

Holmfirth is a great place to visit. Home of “Last of the summer wine” of course but also a great venue to visit is The Picturedrome for a Northern Soul music gig which was fantastic. Some lovely bars and eateries plus some quirky shops as well. Defo a place to visit for the weekend.

Fantastic variety of independent pubs, restaurants and cafes...
Fantastic variety of independent pubs, restaurants and cafes, for both day and night. Most places are dog friendly. Holmfirth does not just feel like a tourist town, but a genuinely welcoming, thriving town for all and the neighbouring villages and country pubs are well worth exploring. P
Made to feel very welcome, lovely personalised welcome card and bottle of wine. Lovely clean property with all you need to get by (iron, hairdryer, netflix, prime, sky movies, sports) Brilliant location, a stones throw from Holmfirth centre. Felt immediately comfortable on arrival and throughout my stay. Love the layout, white marble effect floor tiles, kitchen island and you can watch tv from settee or bed, cleverly organised. A lovely little parking space at front.Would definitely go again.
Great location with lots of lovely walks nearby. Easy to visit Holmfirth- 25 minute walk or short drive. The pub has been renovated beautifully with lots of finishing touches which retain its character and charm but also bring some modern flourishes. Rooms were absolutely spotless with high quality furnishings. Fabulous attention to detail.
Great pub/hotel, staff very friendly and attentive, food excellent - best Rag Pudding we've ever had - location just right - close enough to Holmfirth but far enough away to avoid crowds. Darren and Vicky great hosts and we wish them well for the future. We would certainly recommend the White Horse.
The Hotel was excellent - clean; the facilities were excellent and our room was spacious with really good facilities. All staff were friendly, professional & very proficient & food was always tasty with a varied choice. Would strongly recommend the hotel and would stay again.
Fabulously located in the heart of Holmfirth and very close to shops, pubs and cafes. Really well resourced with everything thing you could possibly think of for a comfortable self catering stay. I’d definitely return and highly recommend.
Absolutely gorgeous little cottage, beautifully decorated.
The only thing to bear in mind is that it's up a VERY steep hill - as is most of Holmfirth, but that helps burn off the calories 🙂
lovely friendly homely hotel, love the homely casual feel of the restaurant and bar, the staff are lovey and welcoming. great home cooked food in the bar or restaurant and its Dog friendly.
Very modern and recently renovated.,Everything was finished and decorated to a high standard. View outside is amazing and garden is landscaped very nicely.Very close to Holmfirth.
This cottage has so much character, such a lovely place situated right in the heart of Holmfirth. Heath, the owner, couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.
Excellent location, friendly host who even posted a child's soft toy back to us after we forgot it . A little hidden gem in the heart of Holmfirth. Thank you so much.
The location is perfect, right in the centre of Holmfirth. The breakfast was superb, great choice of different options to select from. Service very good.
