Had a great time all round. Very nice room (with cafetiere + real coffee provided - not just instant!), excellent meal at the pub downstairs. And most importantly, really helpful and friendly staff.

+ Seems like they have eventually sorted the WiFi out which helps as no mobile network inside
+ Staff are very friendly (Breakfast staff are actually amazing)
+ Comfy bed
+ Music from downstairs goes off exactly at 10:45 which is brilliant

There are 3 nice real ale pubs, a deli and a couple of lovely cafes. It's a centre for all sorts of outdoor activities and can get busy in the summer. You can see the cement factory chimney from everywhere, but it's not an eyesore.

Absolute gorgeous place.
Absolute gorgeous place. Everybody is so welcoming and there is Lots to explore. During my weekend stay with a friend we explored all of the most popular peak attractions. Watched the sunrise up mam tor. Ate breakfast at a handful of cafes and had Sunday roast in the Old Hall Hotel. - Very good customer service, friendly staff and they are a dog friendly bar, which we loved to see. Everything in hope is relatively close to one another so it is easy to get around but if you are new I would recommend that you stick to a satnav due to there being lots of bendy roads leading into various directions. The drives themselves are beautiful but not knowing the area, I would say that its very easy to get lost if you are travelling around.
Theres nothing I would avoid on my next visit. My experience was a very pleasant one. I would honestly encourage anybody that loves nature, adventures and hiking to visit hope. We were not disappointed.

Hope is ideal for exploring great countryside and accessing other tourist activities. Fairly well connected by train and some buses. Has reasonable selection of places to eat and drink and local shops.
Absolutely gorgeous setting, high up above the village of Hope and close to the ascent to Win Hill. This little cabin is located on a charming hillside, with sheep and lambs coming up to the gate to say hello. Very idyllic and quiet at night (save for the bleating lambs!) with a gorgeous view south across the valley. There is a little barbecue and outside seating area to take it all in. The cabin itself is compact, but clean and with everything you need for a quirky couple of nights' stay. Would absolutely book again.
Our room was nice, had a bath as well as shower. double bed use to king size but that was my own fault for not checking before booking. On a busy road so was quite noisy but not a problem. Good size car park. Pub food was nice. plenty of space. Breakfast set us up for the day. Lovely staff and chatty and polite all the time. Dogs welcome. Hope village is picturesque plenty of walking and biking. regular trains in walking distant to the old hope hotel. We had such nice weather was in shorts and t shirt. Will go again.
excellent views and fantastic shepherds hut. great location and the landlord is very helpful without being intrusive.
the standard of the hut was top class and very clean. the Farmhouse is adjacent so landlord is available if any issues but we never saw them or had any disturbance so perfect balance. i work regular in sheffield and nearby locations and usually stop in hotels- i shall def be checking in here on regular basis moving forward!
A beautiful location for an outstanding hotel. Genuine, charming and efficient staff who go out of their way to ensure guests' comfort. Excellent spa facilities and wonderful food, beautifully prepared and served. Totally relaxing. Thank you.
Comfortable room, exquisitely decorated. Real coffee and tea laid on with use of mini fridge if required. TV. Wash basin in room and ample storage. Private bathroom with shower adjacent. 2 min walk from Hope rail station. Parking available.
Great hotel, fabulous room. Lovely size room, perfect temperature, great comfy bed and bedding. Nicely decorated room. ate at the hotel in the evening, food was great as was the breakfast in the tea room.
The hotel is in a fantastic location with amazing views of the Peak District. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent.
We were a little apprehensive having to go elsewhere for breakfast but knowing Hope village and the cafe opposite, it made us happier about our reservation.
