The area surrounding the pub is beautiful and our room was very nice but cold. Absolutely no heating on. The pub was also cold. We were in Room 1 which was noisy throughout the night with the sound of possibly a generator. Didn't sleep at all well.

The staff were very helpful. We were in Ilkley for a wedding and arrived at the hotel before the wedding. We hoped to at least get our keys so that we could get in later that evening after the wedding reception without having to return before the reception started to check in. The rooms happened to be ready early and they not only gave us the keys to all our rooms, we could put our bags into the rooms saving us having to do that later.

Very quirky hotel, not for those who favour the corporates, room was lovey and warm, bed very comfy, staff were all lovely and my evening meal was excellent , really excellent
We had a pleasant overnight trip . Ilkley has beautiful panorama and a great entertainment centre : It’s central for visiting Haworth ( home of the Brontes) and Skipton ( castle.) Great for walking and shopping at some very nice establishments.

Ilkley is a good location with plenty to see in and around the town. It is also conveniently located for visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Traffic queues into town from Skipton Road can be long at peak times but this results from town centre traffic lights and there being no bypass for use by through traffic.

Lovely little town at the northern extremes of West Yorkshire. A quality destination with plenty of history if you have time to explore. If not then there’s a plethora of great restaurants and bars to keep you occupied and well fed.
Lovely little hotel - its smaller size made it so friendly. Fantastic location by the river AND near to Ilkley Station / city centre. The room was very pleasant: regularly cleaned (and rearranged to check-in standards), great bathroom ensuite arrangement, TV - and a cute kettle with a generous supply of Yorkshire Tea, etc! The breakfasts were marvellous - all delightfully sorted by Kristine who has been there for 52 years. I'll definitely be returning to stay for my annual visits to Ilkley.
Great central location, interior of the hotel and bedroom were fine, especially welcome was the excellent quality of the double bed and the bathroom. Breakfast was of an excellent and imaginative standard. Staff were very attentive and welcoming - even the dog in our company had a surprise welcome gift pack!
The property had everything needed, very comfortable and clean. The owner communicated efficiently and kindly left some snacks and milk in the fridge. The instructions and directions to the studio were excellent. The studio is well located with a short walk to the town centre.
The property was a Regency town house in the very centre of Ilkley. It was beautifully decorated and furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was warm, comfortable and quiet, and the en suite bathroom was also very pretty. The location could not be faulted.
We have stayed at The black Hat before & were impresed so we stayed again. 2nd time just as good as the first. Great location, very clean, well equipped, comfortable rooms, good breakfast choice & nice friendly service. will stay here again next time we visit Ilkley
Well located, very clean and comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay in Ilkley. Very nice to have off road private parking and we also liked having a 3 pm check in and midday checkout, not all self catering properties offer this.
Great location for exploring ilkley and dales nearby we visited Malham cove, brimham rocks and Pately bridge clean and comfortable house with great facilities, the house is near to local amenities tesco train station and lots of restaurants nearby
Ilkley is a great spot to explore the Yorkshire Dales & the hotel is well located within walking distance of town & moors.
5 minute walk to the tarn just behind the hotel, a great spot to watch the sunset (see photos)
The rooms and facilities at the hotel were as expected. There was a comfortable bed and a clean / spacious bedroom. I stayed with two friends and we had plenty of space for us all. Great central location!
Lovely hotel very close to the Cow and Calf Ilkley Moor. The room was very clean, and well stocked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent - would recommend staying here.
Very quiet surroundings and no in-house noise. Exceedingly helpful staff. The decor is beautifully executed. Next time we are in the area we will try to book a room at the Wheatley Arms!
The smithy apartment was very comfortable, clean, has a great shower and is very quiet, the hosts provided everything you could possibly need, lots to do in Ilkley and Area
The best thing about Dalesway Hotel was Clark, the Receptionist & Bar Manager. He was so friendly & helpful and VERY interesting to chat to.
Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Location is excellent for walking and for nearby Ilkley which you can walk to in 30-40 mins either down the road or across the moor and through the park
