From arrival to departure everything was superb. Louise is a 'tour-de-force'! Her attention to detail is second to none from the stunning, luxurious decor and amenities to the fantastic home- cooked evening meal and scrumptious breakfast. Greg also went out of his way to make this a five-star stay!

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway, Launceston is well placed. Launceston, is a lovely town, with great views and lots of things to do. It has a lot of history to it and needs a few days to explore. There are also lots of places to stop in for a cup of coffee and something to eat

My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights whilst exploring around Cornwall. The host Julie is amazing too, so when we arrived we were really hungry and could not be bothered to look for a restaurant around the area but she offered us 2 course homemade dinner (it was really yummy) good value for money and we are so please for her kindness. Thank you Julie and your husband for accommodating us. Highly recommended

There is a small shop in the village of Polyphant but it you’re staying for a time you’d probably want to go to Tesco’s in Launceston. We had relatives near by so didn’t require a car, but if you’re traveling to the Shippon you’d probably want one. The Cornish countryside is exquisite and the views from our room didn’t disappoint.ToniCanada
