We chose the accommodation for one night based on the great food reviews and were not disappointed. We enjoyed a wonderful evening meal and a good breakfast.

Loved everything! Cara was so lovely to talk to and she thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Couldn’t have asked for more and the cottage was absolutely beautiful. Thank you Cara!

Such a welcoming, cosy cottage in a lovely village. The host, Emma, can not do enough and her pride in providing a great guest experience definitely shows. This was my second stay and it felt like coming home

A beautiful valley and interesting, picturesque towns and villages nearby.
The Hand is a superb pub/hotel. The food is exceptional and the real ale and wine of high quality.
My comments about reception do not relate to the friendly and welcoming staff who made checking-in a helpful experience, but to the complicated payment arrangements booking.com have in place for stays at the hotel.

We didn't venture out of the Hotel as we arrived late afternoon and left after breakfast. That said, what could be seen of the countryside was stunning and there was talk about fabulous walks to experience. It is hidden away which is just perfect for us. The West Arms Hotel was the most wonderful place to stay. The interior, the atmosphere, the service, the warm welcome, the quality of everything it had to offer was excellent.

Llanarmon D C is a little remote hamlet in a beautiful setting. There aren't any shops but it does have two cracking pub / hotels - be prepared. it's hard to beat if you enjoy the open air and comfortable traditional accommodation and good food.

Beautiful valley village but a nightmare to drive into and out of !
Nearest place with any form of life is at least 20 mins away through lanes and that's assuming you take the right turnings, don't get lost and end up in farmers fields. :)

Outstanding views all around you.
Outstanding views all around you. The most beautiful countryside I have ever seen! Very friendly locals. Amazing walks along various footpaths, although as it's very hilly you need to be reasonably fit and sure footed for these walks. The Hand Hotel and restaurant does delicious gourmet good and it is a spar too!

The hotel was lovely and in a perfect setting in the mountains. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a walk-in shower. The breakfast was great and dinner, which we had on two of our three nights, was equally memorable. But then what do you expect from a Michelin-star chef?! Jackie was extremely pleasant, friendly and caring. Incidentally, although there was a warning that mobile calls would be impossible from the hotel, we made several calls and found the WiFi system to be faultless.
Arriving later than planned, i was met by a very friendly member of staff, who carried my bag upstairs for me, after serving me a drink from the bar. The room was very clean, warm and comfy with a lovely big bed. The bathroom was beautifully cleaned and equipped with a lovely selection of toiletries. Having stayed at quite a lot of hotels for both business and pleasure The Hand was one of the best to date and I would highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I stayed at The Hand after attending a concert in Wrexham. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was beautiful. We both said we had the best nights sleep we'd had in months and were sad to leave. We will definitely be back - this hotel and its staff were amazing!
Fantastic location, spacious room, the regular staff were friendly and helpful. They were nice to our dog too and put us and our teenage son in two adjacent rooms, which was ideal. There is hardly any traffic, and there are various walks with terrific views, which you can start directly from the hotel.
A very warm welcome by Mark and Nicky. Very attentive and lovely dinner in the evening and breakfast the following morning. I would have loved to stayed longer to explore the surrounding area, but will definitely keep this hotel and Mark and Nicky in mind for future return visits.
Absolutely wonderful stay at The Hand. Incredible service, cleanliness, food and made to feel so welcome by the locals too who invited us to stay up for drinks! A high-end hotel that deserves the praise it receives - thank you to everyone involved.
