Whilst we didn't spend a large amount of time in Loxton (it was too wet for long walks) it was very easy to get to Cheddar, Weston Super Mare and other local towns. The Webbington Hotel's gym, pool and spa is recommended. Take a trip to Cheddar for the caves, walks a quaint shops as well as the pubs and restaurants

Average and my room was decent. Others were not. Mine had recently been refurbished with new carpets and wallpaper but the rest of the hotel was in need of some major TLC. Horrible old dusty carpets throughout, tiny rooms in the other building with no light and generally old and worn. Definitely wouldn’t pay £120 a night to stay here again. I would say more about the 60-80 mark is more suitable.

The location of the hotel benefits from being high up with far reaching views over Somerset countryside. However, although the hotel is warm, homely and quiet inside, the nearby M5 motorway is really noisy - so sitting on the terrace outside the bar is not as pleasant as you might think.
There's plenty of parking though, and the staff were superb.

Good hotel with lots of parking, the staff were lovely & helpful whenever we had a query, breakfast was nice with various choices, nice pool but the changing room was small for both men & women. Good location, a bit off the beaten track but that's its charm with cracking views. The hotel is a bit dated but I'm sure this is in the process of being sorted in the future.I was clean & tidy & our double room was a decent size with en suite.

A hidden gem in Somerset.
A hidden gem in Somerset. About an hour’s walk from the quaint medieval town of Axbridge and short drive from Cheddar and Clevedon. You have to be a walker and countryside person to enjoy this place!
We stayed 2 night. We were given a huge room, we were told it was the best room in the hotel . Bridal suite. I think it was an upgrade as the room I thought we’d get , but was unavailable. The size of the room was pretty spectacular . We didn’t try any breakfast or dinner. But did try a desert and that was very tasty and a huge portion too. We split it with my partner and it was still very filling even though I only ate a half. Staff were very friendly and kind. Room was cleaned during the day we were away.
We are in our 70s and have stayed in hundreds of hotels of up to 5 star and have never met such a group of exceptional staff - yes all of them!!
Great location
Great food with good vegan and vegetarian options
Clean and comfortable
Booked Executive Room which oozed character.
Staff were brilliant, style is brilliant. Breakfast was delicious!
Pool and sauna were good, the rooms were beyond adequate.
Sadly just a one night stay, but I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Staff very pleasant, polite, friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet, clean, grand and in a great location - easy to reach, yet rural and quiet. Very comfy, rooms spacious and clean.
The staff were very pleasant and the food very good. We loved the terrace to have drinks. Check in/out good. Beautiful rooms in lounge and around the hotel in general.
