Such a beautiful hotel, very welcoming.

Such a beautiful hotel, very welcoming. Staff were amazing nothing too much trouble, the food was excellent so nice to have vegetables with our meals not just the usual chips. The signature pies were amazing . Just be aware of the stairs to the bedrooms very steep

The Bell Inn is several miles from Lyndhurst in the beautiful New Forest; lovely walks over heath and woodland and, if you're lucky, you'll encounter ponies, donkeys and pigs roaming free locally; drive carefully!

Lyndhurst is a great place to stay for exploring the New Forest. It has a good mix of interesting shops and restaurants and a good sized car-park in the centre. That said, it can get very busy and there can be traffic queues in high-season since it is a bit of a bottleneck. So I'd recommend visiting slightly off-season.

The location the area nice cosy pub the size of our room 4 What let it down for us was the lack of options for gluten free breakfast no cereals no fruit no yogurts then when we did get breakfast it was cold toast rock hard it wasn’t even busy only us two for breakfast We wanted to order gluten free fish and chips but fryer broken so was limited on evening options but what we did order was tasty I must say I was impressed by the staff knowledge on g/f intolerance and allergies.

Lyndhurst has some interesting shops particularly the antiques emporium and some nice pubs and restaurants and the Anglican church of St Michael's where the original Alice who was the model for ''Alice in Wonderland''was buried. I went to the Passage to India Indian restaurant which is quite near to the Penny Farthing hotel. There is a Ferrari showroom if you want to check them out but the cars are very expensive.

It is a lovely village, full of character.

It is a lovely village, full of character. It was the fourth, or fifth, time we have stayed in, or around, Lyndhurst. There are great shops, cafe's, restaurants and pubs. It is small enough to comfortably walk around. We ate in "The Forage, which is a modern Italian style restaurant with a very good menu selection. The only issue is that Lyndhurst is a focal point for all the roads into and out of the NewForest, which often leads to long traffic queues into and out of the village. However, the main road through is one way, which makes it easier for pedestrians to cross.

A welcome return to Ormonde House Hotel was perfect. The staff were great as usual especially the young lady on reception who was friendly and helpful (always with a smile). The room with a Spa Bath was large with a fantastic shower as well as being very clean. The breakfast was great although perhaps serving toast and breakfast at same time would be good. Short walk into Lyndhurst and New Forest just across road. All in all a great trip to New Forest. Highly recommended, We would definitely return again.

Although the staff worked hard there seem to be no one in charge! Waited a long time to be served at the bar as only one person serving. First day no one took our breakfast order second day order was taken but forgot to bring it out! Hotel was nice but I would recommend booking somewhere nearby in Lyndhurst for food.

We have stayed several times, twice this year so far. The Crown Manor is a go to hotel for us for a little break as we love the New Forest and Lyndhurst in particular. The hotel ticks all the boxes for us in terms of location, comfort and the lovely staff.

The location was fabulous, within easy walking distance from Lyndhurst and The New Forest. There were paths from the property directly into the forest and horses and deer were often seen on those walks. The breakfast was lovely.
