Lovely well equipped lodge in beautiful surroundings and the peacocks are a real asset. Cozy and comfortable, modern furnishings, central heating, a terrace and a view of the valley and the ponies. Never tried breakfast or dinner as we had other plans. Would definitely stay again.

Susan & Ted really looked after us, including buying the particular muesli I like. Very comfortable bed. Everything spotlessly clean. Small but functional, quiet room. 10 minutes level walk from the railway station. Wetherspoons & supermarkets 5 minutes walk away. Mykabs £6.00 to the station.

Also on arrival room was not ready when we got to the room there was no toilet rolls we ended up buying are own before receiving them from hotel or towels which we got after 6 hours as no one on reception or answering the phone. The had not been hoovered an still hadn't after 5 days there was 1.cup 2 saucers an 2 teabags which untill the day before we left when 4 little sachets of milk appeared. I obtained a tea spoon an cup my self and had bought are own coffee an milk after 2 days of waiting. No sheets on bed mattress protector had stains on it an dirt in 2 corners the bed was made daily nothing had changed by the time we left bath room was freezing no heating in there. Breakfast - no spoon or fork or knife or no cup breakfast it self was very nice are first holiday for years and very disappointed would not stay there again. We hope are next holiday booked through you is much better. Not happy with facilities, the cottage was fine as a place to sleep. I got no check in arrival instructions. Had to phone owner at 10.40 in the evening, to be told keys were in the door. (Take into account it's dark with no lighting) The shower didn't work, it was dribbling out, staying with wife and daughter both with long hair couldn't use the shower. Being in Plymouth only for a Navy passing out parade we only needed somewhere to sleep and a shower, only got half of what we needed. Not happy

Menheniot is on the main Plymouth to Penzance train line, there are two pubs. My family live there !!! Morwellham quay museum is just over the border on the A390 about 15ish miles. It’s well worth a visit. Also go to the Rod and Line pub at Tideford, great seafood

Enjoyed our time here. It really is a beautiful private spot. The kids loved seeing the animals running around and the trampoline. The property is clean and comfy but is just missing a few special touches to make it perfect.
