Fantastic hotel in a superb location. Staff were excellent. Pool facilities were very good, although a little disappointing the steam room was out of action. Breakfast was great, cooked to perfection, and very well presented. The restaurant staff were very good. The room was very good, clean and the free standing bath was lovely (as was the separate shower). Best of all was the quiet in the room, some of the best nights sleep in a long time. The bed was very comfy. Well worth a visit.
Perched high on Newquay's Pentire Headland, Pentire Hotel sits between Fistral Beach and the Gannel Estuary. The hotel has wonderful views, a modern leisure centre and free Wi-Fi.

We felt that the pub was formulaic in its approach to food and service and lacking in the sort of atmosphere that we were looking for - the room which granted was standard was generous but the ventilation and light were very poor. The location does not work unless you have a car.

I loved Mitchell it is very easy to get to off the A30. Our room 10 was a little dark as it was downstairs whereas my friend had room 11 which was fabulous. Very clean and large rooms and wonderful bathrooms. Just need better pillows :)

Perfect location and if you travel with dogs there is a footpath out the back of the hotel. Easy access to A30 and all mid-Cornwall has to offer. Room was large and modern with a very comfortable, very large, bed. Staff were excpetionally helpful.

Mitchell is a misleading address, probably for area identification or mailing purposes; the small town is actually Summercourt, and very close to nearby Newquay.
The village pub is fantastic, hosts are equally so, the locals friendly and welcoming to visitors.
The food is British fare, well cooked fresh food, well presented, the pub beautifully clean and a 17th century establishment - as is most of the village.
The town s centrally located and perfectly placed for exploring Cornwall from a quiet, rural, safe base.
The local church has an ancient history. The actual location predating the Celts as a sacred place, but evolving into a Christian church. Embellished by the Normans -11th century, and re-worked over centuries, it stands as a monument to British/Cornish history.

To be fair there is not a lot going on in Mitchell, however the Plume of Feathers is a fabulous place to stay and eat and is central to other places to visit. If you are looking for comfort, quiet and good food come here!
The property was situated well for people who wanted to travel and see the sights. Although not a lot to do if you wanted to stay in the area. However the room was absolutely beautiful. I can’t explain how happy I was with it! Bathroom was gorgeous and had a lovely bath. Also a little seating area. We actually didn’t plan on spending much time at the hotel but we spent one of the days having a lazy day just because of how beautiful it was. Also gave you bath robes which I thought was nice.
Much like an apart-hotel. Bathroom is lovely, we had a bath every night it was so relaxing. Rooms were big, bed was comfy and really nice to go home too
Toiletries really nice too
Location great, 15-30min commute too all local towns and a retail park 5 mins away to get anything you need
90% of the staff were really nice, however we had very little interactions
Nice garden area too and very quiet location away from the busy tourist spots.
Welcome from reception was very warm, the hotel, restaurant and gardens were spotlessly clean with plenty of parking on site. The accommodation was more like an apartment rather than a hotel room, very spacious and decorated to a very modern high standard. The restaurant had a lovely ambience with wide selection on both drink and food menus. Would recommend as a base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
The location of the hotel is very close to the exit junction and has easy access to the connecting roads. The staff are very friendly and the grounds and layout of the hotel is very nice. I liked how the staff accommodated two rooms to be next to each other. The emperor bed was extremely comfortable and the room nicely accommodated 2 adults and a child, who had their own large sofa bed!
Nice room and the hotel had what we wanted in terms of facilities. The food was really good, and they catered extremely well for my gluten-free eating requirements. The location was nice and quiet, but in reach of all of the places that we wanted to visit. Very nice shower/wet room (we would have preferred it to have had a door on it).
The room was very spacious and accommodating. As well as providing a large standalone bath and walk-in shower wet room. It was a treat not being located in a traditional hotel arrangement but rather one of a number of apartments spread out across the property offered more the homely feel.
Gorgeous and modern individual lodges. Loved the room, so quiet, comfortable bed, everything spotless! Bramley products.
Contact with the hotel prior to visit was second to none. They helped answer all my questions.
Had Tesla charging points available to guests which was fantastic.
Modern, comfortable spotlessly clean room. Large comfortable bed, and lovely toiletries in the room. Breakfast was excellent, from traditional cornish through to pancakes. We also had dinner at the hotel - and the food was good. They also had a good selection of wines and beers.
We went around Cornwall for the day and were exhausted when we arrive at the hotel. We did a late check-in but Dee from the reception was amazing to assist us with all our inquiries. She was attentive and friendly! The room also was comfy and cozy. We will definitely be back :)
