Gateway to the Inner Hebrides
Oban is a city built around a late 18th-century distillery that produces one of the finest single malt whiskeys in Scotland. This normally peaceful town is invaded during summer when tourists use it as a base to visit the Inner Hebrides islands such as Mull, Lismore and Coll, supporting its status as the Gateway to the Isles.
The horseshoe-shaped Oban Bay is sheltered by Kerrera Island with its spectacular Gylen Castle. Award-winning seafood restaurants and lively pubs line George Street and the waterfront of Corran Esplanade adjacent to the harbour.
Take a short walk up the hill to McCaig’s Tower, a structure based on the Roman Colosseum, for the finest views of Oban’s centre and the outer islands. When you get back down to sea level, stroll into and stumble out of the Oban whiskey distillery after sampling the local version of the 'water of life'.
Admire the coastal scenery as you travel a bit out of town to the 7th-century ruins of Dunollie Castle, home of the Clan MacDougall. The Firth of Lorn gives visitors a fanatstic opportunity to try some sea kayaking.

Noi am gazit gazde minunate,care ne-au intampinat cu caldura si ne-au transmis o stare de bine. Camera noastra a fost spatioasa ,calda si curata ,exact ceea ce aveam nevoie. Hotelul este foarte aproape de aeroportul si orasul Oban . Zona in care este amplasat este minunata (chiar si cand ploua )si ne-am dorit sa fi putut sta mai mult . Am servit un mic dejun foarte bun si am intalnit oameni minunati. Daca am putea reveni ..........
