I love this hotel. It is quiet, clean, comfortable and the staff were warm and welcoming. The eating area is bright and cheerful, and I was very pleased to see the vegan options that were offered. Highly recommended.

We had a large room with spa bath. The room was really nice and very spacious. The sloped ceiling in the upper floor bed area wouldn't suit someone taller than 6'.

Room was good for single person, bed was a bit hard but you cannot cater for everyone, did not disturb sleep. Evening meal was very nice and the lads behind the bar were friendly,

I visited for a family party, but I have visited the area many times, Clitheroe Castle is great, only 5 miles, Pendle hill with skying slopes, lovely area. Padiham is a former mill town, a little run down but very friendly

Hotel is a few miles from Padiham and is set in great North Lancashire countryside. However Padiham is another Typical NE Lancashire town with good chip shop and one of best football training facilities in the England. Nearby hill country to north is very picturesque.

We don't have a view of Padiham but the countryside around is beautiful. One of the most enjoyable parts of our stay was that all the staff at the Higher Trapp Hotel were so friendly and most welcoming.
We shall return.
There was nobody there to let us in. No response to email.provided. texted and called mobile number given but no response.
After hanging around for a while I had to go and try to find a hotel for the night instead.
Eventually found somewhere to stay.
Furious. Was travelling with young daughter and to be abandoned like that was beyond unacceptable.
When waiting outside house I noticed that house didn't look 'lived in' at all. Is this just a scam?

The staff are the stars at this accommodation. Very welcoming receptionist and exceptionally pleasant staff at breakfast time. Good buffet breakfast with filtered coffee available, plus hot food cooked to order. We had a pet with us which we're pleased to say was made very welcome, including in the main hotel lounge. The area is rural with excellent views across the valley and good walks possible from the hotel.
Lovely hotel. Food delicious. More than anything was the staff. They were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff so friendly and restaurant staff were the same. Felt like home from home. We had a dog and the annex that we stayed in was spacious. Beautiful gardens too. We are definitely going to visit again. Thank you for a great stay xxxx
We had a great stay! The hotel is beautiful and even though we were spending the night in nearby Clitheroe, we were able to have a nice drink at the bar beforehand and the grounds are stunning. Special thanks to the lady on reception who was really lovely both on arrival and in the morning.
Hotel was lovely, staff were absolutely great so helpful and made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, bed was very nice and comfy, rest of the room was nice but nothing special. View from the room was stunning.
The location of the hotel is wonderful, set in beautiful countryside, but not too far from towns.
Rooms are quite large, comfortable and clean (if a little tired).
The breakfast had a large selection and was a mix of buffet and cooked-to-order dishes.
The location of the hotel is lovely, in pretty grounds. Great wood panelled bar area and the restaurant offers good dinners and excellent breakfasts. The rooms are in a good condition and very roomy and comfortable. There is a lot of onsite parking too.
The location and view excellent and access to motorway in about 15 min drive which was handy. Staff greetings friendly. We were pre-warned about an event at hotel and given option to have a room in annexe for a quieter night away from party.
The apartment was cosy and warm (heating worked well). The beds were good. The TV is huge and has Netflix. The corner shop opposite was handy and it's an easy walk into Padiham for the supermark and restaurants. Good shower.
