Nothing more to say , it is a perfect overnight stop , the details given by the management are absolutely correct in every detail about Twin oaks Hotel Palterton. Palterton is not the Mecca if Derbyshire, but most of us don’t expect or want that.

Breakfast was disappointing but staff were friendly. Matlock is worth a visit so is Bakewell. If you have children that like fishing Tipshelf ponds is well worth a visit on the five pits trail.Hardwick hall is also worth a visit especially if you belong to the National trust.

Only passed through palterton to and from the hotel but knowing the village very well for sixty year's and it only being 15 miles from where I grew up. I may be a bit prejudiced. in saying the whole locality is excelent to visit. Plus the local's are very welcoming as well as being so laid back they are almost horizontal but always helpfull. The hotel is Ideal to vist not only the vilage but the historic Bolsover Castle and Hardwick hall
