The Nest Hotel & Restaurant, hotel in Petersfield

A friendly pub with lovely rooms. We loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, excellent food, and very good options for gluten-free, which was so appreciated! Extensive wine list, quality cocktails and attentive service.

Perfect for Petersfield B&B, hotel in Petersfield

"Situated in Petersfield, Perfect for Petersfield B&B offers garden, free WiFi, free continental breakfast and a warm welcome.

The property is situated two minutes walk from Petersfield rail station, tow minutes from a LIDL, three minutes from an ALDI, five minutes from an ASDA, and only five minutes downhill into the town, where there's a large WAITROSE. Shopping is therefore no problem. The town also abounda with cafes, restaurants and Bars of all nationalities, some of which are of good quality, and have 'special offers'. We arrived by car, and after parking, which is to be fair, limited, we walked everywhere for meals and sightseeing. Daytime outings by road saw us in National Trust properties nearby. The town of Minstead and the City of Winchester are fairly close, which has a spectacular Market. Petersfield has a Saturday market for local produce and is quite comprehensive. We were welcomed by the HOST, who was friendly, conversational, knowledgeable and provided a very elegant breakfast including fresh fruit and yogurt, and good coffee. The house rules are - no shoes - no smoking - no pets - and no noise, all of which we like, AND SEEK! Everthing was comfortable, clean, and provided, including USB phone charging, face flannels, refreshments and WiFi. Perfect for Petersfield, in fact.

Owner was very hospitable and welcoming. She allowed us to charge our ev with a convenient outside socket and kindly agreed to heat up our noodles, as we had mistakenly thought we'd booked a self-catering unit (our mistake!). The rooms were tidy and comfortable.

Langrish House, hotel in Petersfield

Set in 14 acres of landscaped gardens in the South Downs National Park, Langrish House offers elegant rooms with Wi-Fi access. Petersfield is just 3 miles away.

We felt so at home from the moment we arrived Nigel & Robina were wonderful , we felt so at home . It was great to be off the beaten track , yet close to stately homes , quaint villages , all things Jane Austin and an hour from Portsmouth. The house is so beautiful , we enjoyed learning about the history . Personalized service at breakfast , excellent food . Robins recommended the nearby Ye old George Inn for dinner . We loved it and food was excellent. Bed was soft for us but we just prefer a firmer bed . Lovely grounds to explore . Easy parking right in front .

A pleasant small market town with good facilities.

A pleasant small market town with good facilities. Within range of national Trust properties, and other towns like Minstead. Good road and rail connections, but watch out for the "average speed zones" particularly on the A272 !!

A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!

An old house steeped in history with the same family running it for seven generations. Very friendly greeting, all staff helpful, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was well prepared and well served, so nice to have quality linen on the tables. Quite rare these days. It was a shame and disgraceful, that another party of guests were so rude to the staff which caused upset at breakfast. A gem of a place to stay and we wished we could have stayed longer. Very comfortable bed, which makes all the difference for a good night's sleep. The next village along the narrow road had a couple of nice eating places for an evening meal.

We stopped in Petersfield for lunch, briefly. There had been a market earlier, which we sadly missed, they were setting up for an event in the main square which sounded interesting. We did spend some time in the village of Buriton, wonderful walks, again, sadly not enough time. May have to return...

From the moment we arrived we were amazed how beautiful the barn was. Cosy, comfortable and designed to a high spec. It has everything you need to make you feel you are at home. We stayed over Christmas and was welcomed to a decorated tree which was a nice touch. Close to pubs and supermarkets, although you need your car unless you are happy to walk about 40 mins to the nearest pub. We loved it so much we’ve booked again to stay in June.

Very poor service. Receptionist rude and dismissive when I arrived. Not given the room I had booked. Barely space to walk around the bed. Bar and restaurant closed at 8pm. Mini bar not topped up. No Wi-Fi code in the room. Coffee machine didn’t work. One tea bag!! Overpriced . Avoid.

Our room was very comfortable and quiet, with an excellent shower and loo which were absolutely spotless. We were offered an excellent breakfast with extra tea or toast. Our room had a very good selection of teas, coffee, biscuits and fruit. The B&B could not have been better situated for access, the train station was 2 minutes away and the centre of Petersfield was 5 minutes walk with its comprehensive range of shops and places to eat. Chris was a charming and most accommodating host. We would not hesitate to book another stay.

Fab family run hotel, with a welcoming & accomodating team! Located in a charming little village about 10 minutes from Petersfield station. (1 hour train from Waterloo) It's been completely refurbished & they've done a great job on the interiors. Modern & clean with some old local charm. Breakfast gets a 10/10 - we'll have to return to try the evening food. We'll are looking forward to returning in September with our bridal party for our wedding weekend.

This traditional English pub is very well situated - especially if you are driving - also a short drive/taxi from Petersfield station - a short walk to and from the nearby village (Sheet) for an event. Unpretentious, value accommodation. Very clean, comfortable, friendly and safe. Breakfast included was a generous and flexible one. The room windows can be open for air and closed against the one nearby road - which fell silent for nighttime. Lovely staff.

The location is excellent, in the middle of nature but easy access to Petersfield by car. Lovely grounds and outdoor seating area.. You wake up to a wonderful dawn chorus. The breakfast provided in the cottage is good and you can ask for refills if you need. Jenna and her family were very welcoming and generous. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a generous size.

Very nice pub/inn on what was the old Portsmouth to London route. It's a bit outside of town, about 1.2 miles from the centre of Petersfield. I did expect that being on the A272 it would be noisy but that wasn't the case. The room was exactly as described with a comfortable bed, clean, good quality linen and a decent en-suite. Breakfast was very good too.

Stayed here for 1 night to attend a wedding at a venue up the road. The room was good, spacious, and clean, and the shower etc.. worked well. The bed was comfortable. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the venue and would highly recommend the food made at the pub.
