First impressions were not good with scaffolding to adjoining property, but once inside everything was superb. The room’s are not standard Premier Inn style they’re larger, very comfortable, en suite, and with style and character. The one drawback for a 3 story building was that it doesn’t have a lift, as I have COPD that could have been a problem, but receptionist re-arranged her plans changed my room to a first floor near the stairs. Buffet breakfast was excellent, good choice for evening meals, and an excellent bar. But the lasting memory of this hotel has got to be the staff, really first class and everyone of them so friendly. I would not rate this a 5 star hotel, I would give it 6 stars.

The location was perfect - very handy for the town centre and railway station - which suited a solo female traveller. The room also had a teapot which is a rareity these days 👍 My host was very welcoming and helpful. Friendly people, beautiful bay. Sunrise or sunset strolls along the seafront in either direction were gloriously beautiful. Minimal shops. Late opening food shop very useful. Not many places to eat out, but another restaurant was in the process of being built.
Ideal location for exploring the beautiful south of the island. We saw dolphin, seals and wonderful bird life such as chough near Cregneash.
