The things we liked about Coire Glas was the lovely warm welcome from the hosts Simon and Morven, the views all around were gorgeous, hosts went above and beyond nothing was any trouble, which are very grateful for.
Our room were spacious, very clean and homely we loved it, the breakfast was amazing and it gave us a great start to our hiking day with a extra bonus Simon dropped us off at our staring point at a very small charge. We would definitely stay in Coire Glas in the future 5* thank you & continued success in your wonderful property.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The chalet is exceptional, perfect for a couple. The outside space was amazing, and the hot tub was a welcome extra after a long day walking. The hosts were always in contact via text and Uisdean came and helped us with lighting the fire within minutes of asking. Overall this was a wonderful visit and we fully intent to book again in order to explore the surrounding area.
Distant Hills is a modern couple-run guest house providing a good quality Bed and Breakfast service.

Roybridge was a hidden gem, approached by a steep, winding mountain road and a revelation of natural beauty. Why go abroad when there is so much beauty and peace to be experienced in our home country?

Roybridge is a small village in the highlands of Scotland,...
Roybridge is a small village in the highlands of Scotland, roughly 20/25mins north of Fort William. There are two pubs, one is dog friendly. However, the Roybridge Hotel [dog friendly hotel] did not make us feel welcome when we arrived for an evening meal. The food was acceptable but the atmosphere was not. We opted to do our own catering at our self-catered cabin. There is a SPAR shop at the next village [Speanbridge] where you can buy most items fresh/tins etc.
The area is outstandingly beautiful. The location allows ease of access to a lot of visits within the highlands, for example Loch Ness is an hour away, Nevis ski gondola 15 mins away etc.
If you go self-catered there are other supermarkets in Fort William and in Fort William you can access the Jacobite steam train which travels across the Glenfinnan viaduct [as seen in Harry Potter] twice going to and from Mallaig. Skye is accessible within a 2hour 30min drive [to Portree] or you could drive to Mallaig and get the ferry across to Armadale.

Clean room with modern decor.
Clean room with modern decor. The room was not a “deluxe” which we had booked. Very small bedroom such that with two suitcases it was hard to walk around the bed. Shower room was impractical as ridiculously small.

Rustic and quite place very near Spean Bridge and Fort William. Perfect for visiting lots of stunning areas. Two hotels and a railway station in Roy Bridge. Lots activities, walking canoeing and fishing. Perfect area for a quiet and restful holiday. Lovely scenic drives around, Fort William only 14 miles which has all main shops. Glenfinnan monument & viaduct not far drive, Mallaig a 2-hour drive. Lovely Cable Car which has stunning views, Spean Bridge commando memorial very poignant. Fort Agustus and Urquhart Castle about a 2-hour drive. The train runs from Fort William up to Mallaig and also the Jacobite Stream Train also does a run to Mallaig - but must be pre-booked perfect for special occasion. Also in the area is Neptune's stairway, the biggest stepped lock in the UK on the Caledonian Canal. So, lots in the area.

The area is nice and quiet perfect for walking; forest at Inveroy or along Bohuntingville with the view along the Parallel Roads. I stayed self catering but there are pubs close by were food is served throughout the day. Not far from Fort William the main town which has plenty of shopping and leisure facilities.
Fabulous pods, super clean, cosy, well kitted out and with welcoming hosts. Great location too - be sure to check out near by Glen Roy for amazing views and great walking. Would highly recommend for a break just outside the obvious tourist spots, but within easy striking distance of the must-do trips such as Ben Nevis, The Commando Memorial, Glenfinnan etc.The Roybridge Hotel opposite has a great bar with good food - don't be out off by the pictures of fast food on the sign, the menu itself is far more imaginative and tasty :-)
Val and Stuart could not have been more helpful. They gave us lots of tips and ideas for restaurants and safe cycling trails and allowed us to keep and charge our e-bikes in their garage. The location near Roybridge, is convenient for touring the area and a 15 minute drive to Glen Nevis, to climb Ben Nevis. The apartment was comfortable, spacious and bright, and had every convenience including a lovely balcony with excellent views.
Theresa was a fantastic host. She even waved us down as we drove past the home! She had the room prepared for our overnight stay. The space was clean and comfortable. There were a few pubs nearby that were perfect for dinner. Breakfast was delicious and ready in the dining room when we awoke the next morning. The location was excellent as we were driving from Glasgow to Isle of Skye and required an overnight stay along our route.
Hosts Theresa and Richard were friendly and welcoming, offering suggestions for things to do in Fort William in the rain was helpful! Room was spacious and spotless. We really enjoyed spending our evening on the decking and appreciated having the fire pit lit for us too, a really cosy spot. When we arrived at our next hotel in Fort William we wished we had spent more nights at East Park! Thank you.
I especially liked the roomy bed area and the ample storage. The peaceful area was still near a good size town for getting supplies. I loved the doorfront parking. Nicely decorated and homey. Also appreciated the easy to use shower and the prompt answers to my questions. Many electrical sockets!
We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely family run hotel with clean, large bedroom. The breakfast was fantastic. The views from the breakfast room into the garden and nearby hills was lovely. We also had dinner in the evening and the food and service was excellent. Thanks!
The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. The location was great with stunning views. The hotel was exceptionally clean. We enjoyed a few evening meals, with drinks, of which there was a wide selection and the breakfast was amazing!
Our stay at Birchbank was really nice. The hosts were really kind and welcoming. The place itself was spotlessly clean and cosy. The property is ideally situated in Roybridge and close to many attractions in the highlands.
The location of the property near the hills and within walking distance of the local hotel. Fascinating immediate surroundings could be views from the balcony. Comfortable and spacious.
Fresh croissants, muffins and bread rolls for the continental breakfast. Facilities excellent, in a rural setting but close to restaurant and hotel
Our host Theresa was wonderful
Locally there was a Cafe for Breakfast / Lunch and a Hotel for evening Dinner, both outrageously expensive. My tip to anyone would be to bring your own food and cook it yourself.
