The breakfast was fantastic as it's homemade and HOT, so delicious. The owner's were fantastic and so friendly. Easy walking in their village with access to other restaurants, pharmacy and post office to exchange currency. We will definitely come back and stay. We booked for 1 night but loved it so much we stayed an extra day.

Our room had a third bed which made it a little tight on space, but the visit was very enjoyable. All the staff were very friendly. We had some problems with our room keys but these were easily and politely solved. The bar and restaurant ere very comfortable and prices were reasonable.

Received a phone call this morning from the owner in which he offered a parietal refund as we very disappointed and actually rather disgusted with the stay. Unfortunately the owner has now said that due to our last review he will not be giving us any money back unless we take down our previous review. Absolutely appalled at the disrespectful manner in which I was spoken to. Would not under any circumstances recommend this property.
We stayed at the George & Dragon as we were attending a wedding close by. The hotel was very accommodating, letting us check in early so we could get to the wedding venue in good time. The room was very clean and well appointed - the bed was so comfy! The manager explained the procedure for getting back into the hotel if we arrived back late (which we did). He was very friendly. We didn't have breakfast as we needed to be elsewhere early so can't comment on that but all in all, just the job
Location great for our needs. Bus to Chester for only £4 return from across the road good value. Exploration of surrounding areas..Manly Mere, Delemere Forest and Marbury Park as well as the Alerton Boat lift all within 10 miles of Tarvin. Cooked Breakfast was wholesome. Good pub meal choices. Chef happy to accommodate your preferences. Comfy bed. Lovely crispy clean sheets and towels
The location was good for us on our journey. Excellent hosts Kenny and Cath - friendly and helpful. The hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment this year with further work to be carried out later this year to the hotel facade and the bedrooms and en-suites. The breakfast was amazing as was all the food. Highly recommended hotel.
Very comfy and lovely friendly staff can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing. We had a very nice meal in the bar. Tarvin is a small village that has everything you would want with a good bus service to Chester. The hotel has ample parking free. Would definitely recommend
The hotel and staff was absolutely spot on. The chips and pie we had for tea was lovely and the full English breakfast was genuinely the best breakfast I've ever had. I will 100% be stopping again
Positives:
